00:00Good afternoon and welcome to your latest weather update from the Met Office. So, Storm
00:04Aon brought disruption for many of us through Friday. It is gradually moving away towards
00:08Scandinavia as we head through the rest of the weekend, but then it's all eyes out towards
00:12the West as we see this weather front arriving through Saturday evening. We then see a brief
00:16ridge of high pressure before all eyes out to the West again as we see another area of
00:20low pressure arriving, bringing further spells of wet and quite windy weather to southern
00:24parts of the UK into the new working week. Before we get there though, there will be
00:29plenty of sunshine on offer for many of us on Saturday afternoon, a welcome change from
00:33what we saw on Friday. We do see that weather front though arriving across parts of Northern
00:37Ireland, some quite heavy downpours likely here and perhaps some sleet and snow over
00:41any high ground too. Temperatures will be round about average for the time of year for
00:45many of us, 6, 7, 8, perhaps 9 degrees across the very far South and 4 to 6 degrees across
00:50the North. It will still be quite blustery across the Northern Isles and we could still
00:54see some showers here too. As we then go through Saturday evening, that weather front across
00:59Northern Ireland spreads its way eastwards into northern parts of England, parts of Wales
01:03and parts of Scotland too and we could see some sleet and snow over the high ground.
01:07It generally fizzles out by the time it gets to much of England but there will still be
01:10a few showery outbreaks into the early hours of Sunday morning. Behind that weather front
01:14we do see some clear spells developing and that will allow temperatures to drop off,
01:18particularly across parts of Northern Ireland and Scotland and we'll see temperatures dropping
01:21below freezing here which could lead to some frost and some icy stretches to start the
01:25day on Sunday. Perhaps not quite as cold across the far South of the UK, although temperatures
01:29here still dropping down into the low single figure. So for all of us, likely to be quite
01:34a chilly start to the day on Sunday but quite a cloudy start too for much of England and
01:38Wales. We see that weather front pushing up from the South West, spreading its way north
01:42and eastwards through into Sunday afternoon, bringing some really quite heavy downpours
01:46across parts of Wales, southern parts of England and then into parts of Northern Ireland, Northern
01:50England and eastern parts of England through Sunday afternoon. For Scotland though, a dry
01:55afternoon for many and plenty of sunshine on offer. Temperatures for most of us again
01:58will be around about average for the time of year, although we're just drawing up a
02:01little bit of milder air across the very far South, so temperatures here around 10 or 11
02:06degrees, although perhaps not feeling like that with those strong southwesterly winds.
02:10As we then go through Sunday evening, that weather front pushes further north into parts
02:14of Scotland where we could again see some sleet and snow over the high ground and we'll
02:18see some blustery showers feeding in across the South West too. We then see this next
02:22weather front arriving across the very far South, so further outbreaks of heavy rain
02:26across southern parts of England into the start of Monday and that could cause some
02:29disruption as we head into the new working week. So do make sure you keep up to date
