00:00The pension we get after working for 30 years, that is not a salary.
00:05It's a maintenance allowance.
00:07And we pay tax on that as well.
00:08The passion to save ends there.
00:11I think if we give everything in the form of tax,
00:14we won't get any benefit from it.
00:16Today, women need to have more money in their hands.
00:19Because expenses have increased.
00:21Your lentils, roti, flour, everything has become expensive.
00:24There is no incentive for property tax.
00:26Debate on property tax.
00:28So that more and more women have property in their name.
00:36In Budget 2024, 3 lakh crore rupees were allocated for women.
00:41Which is 36% of the entire budget.
00:44So in today's future focus, Budget 2025, which is our ladies' special,
00:49we will try to find out what is expected from women's budget this time.
00:54Because the women who are with me today are housewives,
00:58who take care of the house,
01:00they are also working, who do jobs outside.
01:02And apart from this, there are also such women who are running their own business.
01:07So first of all, I will ask our women a very basic question.
01:11When she prepares the budget of the house.
01:14Because the budget of the country is in the hands of the finance minister.
01:20And the budget of our house is in the hands of our women.
01:24And fortunately, the budget, our finance minister is also a woman.
01:30So it will be interesting to see how much our finance minister meets the expectations of these women.
01:36So first of all, I would like to know from all the ladies that when you prepare the budget of your house.
01:41So how do you prepare the budget?
01:43Ma'am, you are very experienced to prepare the budget of your house.
01:48So first of all, I would like to ask you, how do you prepare the budget?
01:52While making the budget, you don't know what will increase,
01:56which rate will increase, which GST will increase.
01:59GST is increasing a lot on everything.
02:02They work so hard and earn so much.
02:04And if you go to spend on it, then you have to pay GST on every article, everywhere.
02:12This is very difficult.
02:14You don't know when and what will increase.
02:16All of a sudden, what emergency will come?
02:18If there is any medical problem, then everything is gone.
02:21And there are so many things, even we go to buy something.
02:25What is the rate today and what is the rate tomorrow, you never know.
02:28What you have to pay.
02:29That's why there is no understanding for its adjustment.
02:33The budget on 1st and the expenditure on 30th, there is no balance in it.
02:39There is no comparison.
02:41So basically, what women say is that the budget of the house has deteriorated.
02:46Now you all know that in Delhi, it has been recently announced that women will get Rs. 2100,
02:51whoever is eligible for it.
02:53So what do you think, because housewives have 24x7 duty, that too without salary.
03:00So do you think that such schemes, because first you brought it, then Congress brought it.
03:07Then after that, BJP can also make such announcements.
03:10So do you really think that such schemes, Rs. 2100, which are being distributed for free, should be distributed?
03:17So first of all, I would like to understand why Rs. 2100?
03:21What kind of expenditure do they want to meet for women,
03:24that they will be able to meet their expenses or needs of the month with Rs. 2100.
03:30Can vegetables come in Rs. 2100 in a normal household today?
03:34There is no answer.
03:35Can grains come?
03:36There is no answer.
03:37So what kind of expenditure do they want to empower women with Rs. 2100?
03:42And what kind of empowerment are they talking about?
03:44I would definitely like to know that.
03:46Will it come?
03:47Yes, will it come? And where will that money come from?
03:49So do you think that to empower women with Rs. 2100, there is a vote bank?
03:55What do you think, ma'am, should such schemes, Rs. 2100, be done for women?
04:02No, I don't think all these things are just an eye wash.
04:05I don't think these schemes exist also.
04:07Because this is something which is coming from our tax only and coming back to us.
04:12So I don't think this is not going to empower us.
04:15So one thing they have said in common is that we will not be empowered with this.
04:22If such schemes are run.
04:24So ma'am, I would like to know from you, how will we be empowered?
04:28In the name of empowerment, as you said, there are schemes.
04:31Whether it is Rs. 2100, Mudra schemes, Mudra loan schemes or stand-up schemes.
04:36There are schemes for women entrepreneurs, especially for women.
04:40I am an entrepreneur. I run a small enterprise.
04:44I have a music academy.
04:46There, our ticket size is Rs. 2000 to Rs. 3000.
04:51And people think that if we have to give so much in children's education,
04:56which is happening a lot these days,
04:58we have to give it here also.
04:59We have to give tuition fee also.
05:00So, as everyone is saying, the budget is ruined.
05:04Our prices are increasing so much.
05:08We are dying for it every day.
05:10It is very difficult to manage the budget.
05:12I don't think these schemes will be able to help in this.
05:15And at the end of the day, it is a vote bank that they are creating.
05:18Absolutely, there is no other thing that they are helping with.
05:21For women, this is just to show a lollipop.
05:25So, this is what I have to say.
05:27The way we are seeing inflation, it has been a big issue for a long time.
05:32Whether we talk about the time of Congress or the time of BJP,
05:36inflation has been a big issue.
05:38So, what do you think, to give relief from inflation in the budget,
05:41because we are women, we have to see the price of the LPG at home,
05:46we have to see the pulses also, which are not available less than Rs. 200 these days.
05:50Apart from this, there are times in a year when tomatoes and onions are more than Rs. 100 a kilo.
05:56So, what do you think, how can our household items be given relief from inflation?
06:03Madam, I would like to know from you.
06:04I don't think inflation has ever come down.
06:07If there is a surplus in the market, then definitely its prices must have come down,
06:13that it is not wasted.
06:14Otherwise, I have never seen in my life that something has gone up once,
06:18so its price has come down.
06:21Madam, what do you think, what are the things that should be cheaper,
06:25and what are the things that you think can be made cheaper by making it more expensive?
06:31Well, according to me, households like vegetables, groceries should be a little cheaper,
06:40education should be cheaper, medical should be a little cheaper.
06:45Generally, I would like to say that for the lower class, essential things should always be cheaper
06:56and should be easily available.
06:59And taxes should also be less on them.
07:03One thing about other women is that whenever there is any kind of problem at home,
07:09then women bring some money from their safe,
07:12bring some gold,
07:13that you take this and whatever the problem is, you can get out of it.
07:18I am talking about savings here.
07:20In the matter of savings, women may not invest in the share market,
07:24but in the form of cash or in the form of jewelry,
07:27they definitely save something and keep it with them.
07:31So, the way taxes are being increased on this savings,
07:34even if we talk about gold, the prices of gold are increasing day by day.
07:39Apart from this, if you invest in FD, then there is also an investment in FD,
07:43because FD is such a method that has been taught to us since childhood.
07:46Traditionally, it has been taught since childhood that you have to invest in it.
07:50So, what do you think about the taxes being imposed on savings in this way?
07:55Ma'am, I would like to know from you.
07:56In today's date, when we are imposing taxes on FD of 7% rate,
08:00then it is believed that the money you will get after a year,
08:05the value of that money will not be that much,
08:07it cannot even beat your inflation,
08:09plus you are also paying income tax on it.
08:11We women, or what we have understood, learned,
08:15we have very limited, like you said, in the form of gold,
08:20in the form of things,
08:21even if I keep gold today, and I give my long-term capital gain on it,
08:26then the whole feeling of saving it, that ends in the whole thing.
08:33We think that by giving everything in the form of tax,
08:36we will not have any benefit in it.
08:38Now, there are some women among us who are retired from the government job,
08:42we would like to know from them once,
08:44what are their expectations from this year's budget?
08:48Ma'am, first of all, I would like to know what you used to do,
08:52what do you do now, and what are your expectations?
08:55I am a retired teacher, and my expectation is that,
09:01the pension we got after doing a job for 30 years,
09:05that is not a salary, it is a maintenance allowance,
09:08and we pay tax on that too.
09:10Then after this, whatever we do not buy, we are paying tax on that too,
09:13we are paying GST.
09:14Then what is the use?
09:15Then what is the use?
09:16Then it means that whatever pension we got,
09:18we spent a lot of it on tax.
09:20Then what is left after that?
09:21Pension is not even a minimum,
09:24that they can do their daily doings for a month,
09:27can fulfill their daily needs.
09:29Ma'am, how do you see the healthcare sector?
09:32How is the healthcare sector in India?
09:35And to improve the government healthcare sector,
09:39because our GDP, although it is only 1.5-2% of our GDP,
09:46how do you think it can be improved?
09:49And as ma'am just said,
09:51what problems do you think need to be addressed in this budget?
09:55I have just seen this,
09:56what they call cashless,
09:58there is nothing cashless.
10:00First, you have to pay the entire payment there,
10:03in the hospitals,
10:04you will get it later,
10:06but when later?
10:07There is no date for that.
10:08And you see doctors everywhere,
10:10there is no treatment anywhere.
10:12Go to the government hospitals,
10:14there is no number there,
10:15it is not like that in private hospitals.
10:17So, improvement is needed everywhere.
10:19If we can do something for senior citizens,
10:21especially in medical healthcare,
10:24which is done in foreign countries,
10:27it is free of cost.
10:28For the people who have given their medical,
10:31their tax, their entire life,
10:33if they are giving their entire life,
10:35then in return,
10:36if they can get free medical facilities,
10:38or if they can benefit from it,
10:44it will be very good,
10:45especially for senior citizens.
10:47But I also understand that
10:50seeing the population of our country,
10:52it may be difficult for the government,
10:54but if something is done for it.
10:56Ma'am,
10:57what problems do you see in the industry you come from?
11:00And what do you think,
11:01how can they be improved in this budget?
11:04And what are your expectations?
11:06Because you come from the textile industry.
11:08Absolutely, Bhavna ji.
11:09I run a small business of kids wear.
11:12Now, if you see in this industry,
11:14what does it mean to make clothes?
11:15First, you will take raw material,
11:17which is cloth,
11:18on which we give 5% GST.
11:20After that,
11:21this is a work of value addition,
11:23in which you get clothes cut and made by workers, laborers.
11:26In our country,
11:28a minimum wage has been given to support that public,
11:31which I encourage a lot,
11:33that we should give that salary,
11:34and we will also give that salary.
11:36After that, the third component comes,
11:38electricity, water, rent.
11:39Now, our government has given free electricity,
11:42but that electricity money is coming from us.
11:44The electricity that was 8 rupees a unit,
11:463 years ago,
11:47today we are giving 20 rupees a unit on it.
11:49If I give a minimum wage on that 5% cloth,
11:52using that electricity,
11:53when I make cloth,
11:55suppose the cloth is 900 rupees a meter,
11:57which is raw material,
11:58then obviously it will go above 1000 rupees.
12:00The moment it goes above 1000 rupees,
12:02the government takes 12% GST from me.
12:05In order to overcome that loss,
12:08I will have to make my cloth expensive.
12:10Now, a recent proposal has come,
12:12that we will tax 28% on cloth above 10,000.
12:15When that 28% GST will be there,
12:17I will not give that to a business entrepreneur from my pocket.
12:21Somewhere,
12:22either I will do it at a loss and shut down my business,
12:24or I will ask the common people to get money.
12:26What happens in that matter?
12:28The small businesses,
12:30they are not able to survive.
12:32And because of this,
12:33the cheap cloth that comes from outside,
12:35people's inclination is more on that.
12:39So somewhere,
12:40by increasing your GST,
12:42our Indian handicraft,
12:44Indian,
12:45the small businesses,
12:46you are suppressing those businesses from somewhere.
12:49This is what I believe in.
12:51How many of you are women,
12:52who have their own house, property or land in their name?
12:57I do have property in my name,
12:59but the problem is,
13:00there is no incentive for property tax.
13:02Incentive is the basis,
13:03on which people get more property in the name of females.
13:06Rebate on property tax,
13:08so that more and more women have property in their name.
13:10Usually, it does not happen.
13:11Unfortunately, it is very less in India.
13:13But,
13:14if they do give those kind of incentives,
13:16yes, women will move ahead.
13:18Suppose,
13:19the stamp duty in Haryana,
13:21if it is registered in the name of a man,
13:23then it is there,
13:24let's say 9%.
13:25If it is in the name of a woman,
13:27then it will be 7%.
13:29So,
13:30what do you think,
13:31to increase the ownership of women,
13:33what other steps should be taken,
13:35in the real estate sector,
13:37so that more and more women can be empowered,
13:40and can have their own house,
13:42their own property in the name of women.
13:45Like you said,
13:46stamp duty was there for a short time,
13:47then it was removed from Delhi.
13:49If it is there,
13:50and we have rebate,
13:51in that,
13:52in our society,
13:53many houses were registered in the name of women,
13:55because they got the benefit of stamp duty.
13:57So,
13:58it should be a permanent thing.
13:59Basically,
14:00a common man,
14:01a common woman,
14:02wants to have more money in their hands,
14:04because expenses have increased,
14:06your lentils,
14:07roti,
14:08flour,
14:09everything has become expensive.
14:10So,
14:11in your budget,
14:12the tax,
14:13if you reduce it,
14:15for women,
14:16then women will have more money.
14:19What we want,
14:20yes,
14:21we want,
14:22that you reduce the tax,
14:23especially for women,
14:24so that we get money,
14:26and we can save it,
14:28we can spend it,
14:30because it's the woman,
14:31who makes the home.
14:32And today,
14:33today,
14:34our problem is,
14:35that all your money,
14:37is spent on your lentils,
14:39roti.
14:40Health is more important.
14:41If a woman has to stand independent,
14:43if her health is good,
14:45then definitely,
14:46she will grow,
14:47and her family will also grow.
14:48Education system has to be improved.
14:50Then,
14:51the working culture for the women,
14:53so that women,
14:54get good hours,
14:55because mostly,
14:56today,
14:57women don't get back support.
14:59If they don't get back support,
15:00then they can't grow,
15:01first of all.
15:02Secondly,
15:03now,
15:04women are coming into business,
15:05work from home is increasing,
15:07I have noted that,
15:08everyone is growing,
15:10so we have to increase the investment in the market.
15:12If you give this incentive to women,
15:143 lakh is free for you,
15:16if you increase it for women,
15:18I am in the share market,
15:19I am working,
15:20I am an analyst,
15:21and I invest in the share market.
15:23So,
15:24if you give this incentive to women,
15:263 lakh is free for you,
15:274 lakh is free for you,
15:28that will be so much of an incentive for the women.
15:30So,
15:31even in capital gain,
15:32if you give this incentive for gold,
15:34that you sell gold,
15:35how much tax do you have to pay?
15:37Reduce that also,
15:39so that,
15:40they can sell the gold,
15:41and can invest.
15:42If you study and invest in the share market,
15:45then no other business can give you the benefit,
15:49what share market can give.
15:50If you buy gold in the morning and sell it in the evening,
15:53that is not an investment.
15:55So,
15:56this long term capital gain tax,
15:57short term capital gain tax,
15:59what relaxation do you think should be given on this?
16:01Because,
16:02last time,
16:03there was a lot of opposition,
16:04that it was increased,
16:05the tax was increased,
16:06it was increased by 20%,
16:07it was increased by 20%,
16:08in the long term,
16:09it was increased by 12.5%,
16:10which was 10%.
16:11So,
16:12what relaxation do you think should be given on this?
16:14They should come down to 10%,
16:15why have they made it to 12.5?
16:17If you keep 10%,
16:19the long term capital gain,
16:21more of the people will come into the capital,
16:23they will keep your money,
16:25they will not do it in the short term.
16:27Today,
16:28if you don't have an incentive,
16:29the basic thing is incentive,
16:31give to women incentive,
16:33give them money,
16:34reduce the tax,
16:35we need the money,
16:36we need money at home,
16:38then you reduce the tax,
16:40instead of 3 lakhs,
16:42for women especially,
16:43you can make it 4 lakhs,
16:44why not?
16:45Income tax,
16:46certainly,
16:47they should be given more relief,
16:48they must have it,
16:49but,
16:50they give a small bracket,
16:52till now,
16:53which the government has given,
16:54so much for ladies,
16:55so much for gents,
16:56maybe,
16:57I still remember,
16:58when it started,
16:59only for 25,000,
17:00how much is it now?
17:02What is the difference between men and women?
17:04There is no big difference,
17:05nothing like that,
17:06it should be,
17:07at least,
17:08the bracket should be bigger.
17:10I have a common question with all the women,
17:13do you think,
17:14the women of our country,
17:16are strong,
17:17empowered,
17:18or,
17:19do you think,
17:20if they are not empowered,
17:21then what steps should the government take?
17:24In last year's budget,
17:26the allocation of 3 lakh crores,
17:28was kept only for women,
17:30which was 36% of the entire budget,
17:33so,
17:34do you think,
17:35this allocation should be increased?
17:37First of all,
17:38do you think,
17:39women are empowered in our country?
17:411% women are empowered in our country,
17:46Education,
17:48would play a lot of difference,
17:51and in our country,
17:52I think,
17:53girl education,
17:54is not at all taken care of,
17:57I don't know,
17:58the numbers,
17:59what you are talking on,
18:00because,
18:01I have always been in education field,
18:03and I have seen,
18:04the education is not going to the right people,
18:06I don't know,
18:08is this education,
18:10or these numbers,
18:11getting combined,
18:12and reaching to the right people,
18:14if it will reach,
18:15then the mindset will reach,
18:17if the mindset will reach,
18:19then maybe empowerment will reach,
18:21because,
18:22educated girls also,
18:23don't encourage their girls to move ahead,
18:26they say,
18:27get married and move ahead,
18:28if you want to do a job,
18:29or not,
18:30then see,
18:31but now get married and move ahead,
18:32so,
18:33that mindset,
18:34is yet to come.
18:35Empowerment is there,
18:36in our country,
18:37it is happening,
18:38women are moving ahead,
18:39but,
18:40the low income group,
18:42women of low status,
18:44like maids,
18:45they should also,
18:46develop their skills,
18:48such promotions,
18:49should be brought,
18:51to the government,
18:52so that,
18:53they also get upgraded,
18:56and,
18:57the rest,
18:58women have reached so many places,
19:00and will continue to reach,
19:01so,
19:02long live women.
19:04Yes, women are empowered today,
19:06better than before,
19:07there are engineers,
19:08doctors,
19:09and the biggest thing is,
19:10our finance minister,
19:11is a woman,
19:12but,
19:13to go on the right path,
19:15it's not that we need money,
19:17we need,
19:18to make their talent,
19:20capable,
19:21encourage them,
19:22in a practical manner,
19:24show them,
19:25that you go here,
19:26you will get this encouragement,
19:28you can do this course,
19:30not just on the paper,
19:32in a practical way,
19:34tell them,
19:35that you can go here,
19:36you can learn this talent,
19:38after this,
19:39you can get this job,
19:41or you can use it like this,
19:43women are empowered today,
19:44and will continue to grow,
19:46it's not the same as before,
19:48women know how to speak,
19:49women know how to,
19:50get their jobs,
19:52but that is not enough,
19:54we have a long way to go.
19:56My last question,
19:57to all the women,
19:58will be that,
19:59you all,
20:00you take care of the house,
20:02you go out,
20:04to work,
20:06you,
20:07you run your own business,
20:09so what are your expectations,
20:11in Budget 2025,
20:13what should happen,
20:14for women,
20:16women centric,
20:17how can it be made,
20:18and what should be done,
20:20what should be the big announcement,
20:22everyone can tell in their own way,
20:24ma'am,
20:25what are your expectations?
20:26At least,
20:27the government school,
20:28they should be given so many facilities,
20:30that they will go beyond the private school,
20:33so that the children,
20:34go to any school,
20:35they should get the same facilities,
20:37and at that time,
20:38their free education system,
20:39should be at least,
20:40up to 12th class.
20:42According to me,
20:43there should be a change in the education system,
20:45up to 5th class,
20:47after that,
20:48some children should get skills,
20:49the thing in which the child is interested,
20:51he should make skills in that thing,
20:54so that he,
20:55as soon as possible,
20:57in his education,
20:59he should get perfection,
21:02whatever technical interest he has,
21:05whatever he likes,
21:06maybe carpentry,
21:07or anything like this,
21:08he should be given such skills,
21:11through which he should know,
21:13how this work is done,
21:14so that he can use the skill further in life.
21:18I want this budget,
21:20to take steps to control the population,
21:25because being an overpopulation country,
21:29there is a lot of exploitation of resources,
21:33and they are not able to reach all the resources.
21:40Reduce the rates of basic commodities,
21:43and reduce the personal income tax,
21:47and reduce the inflation.
21:49There should be travel benefits,
21:51I feel that very few ladies get to travel,
21:54so if we have those travel benefits,
21:56of course,
21:57India is a beautiful country,
21:58and hardly any one of us has gone around,
22:00seen this country,
22:01explored it,
22:02that should be there,
22:04and health benefits,
22:06yes,
22:07health benefits should definitely be there,
22:09they are already there,
22:10but they should be more,
22:11they are not enough.
22:12Healthcare,
22:13education,
22:14skill development classes,
22:16whatever is done for children,
22:17should be cheap,
22:18if we talk about inflation,
22:20so whatever is hazardous for health,
22:22for which our teenagers are getting addicted,
22:25those things are easily accessible for them,
22:27so such things should be expensive,
22:28so that they can easily procure them.
22:30Wheat, lentils, rice,
22:31the way we run our house,
22:33teaching,
22:34if children's education is made a little cheaper,
22:38that will be very beneficial for people,
22:42and as an incentive,
22:43I would say that if luxury items,
22:46which are high brand cars,
22:48or high end real estate,
22:50which can be bought,
22:51they can also pay a little extra tax,
22:53what is the benefit of this,
22:54if they are luxury cars,
22:55if it becomes more higher,
22:57maybe there will be fewer cars on our roads,
22:59which will make a lot of difference in our environment,
23:03because pollution is a nuisance for us today,
23:08especially for the capital of our country,
23:12so it will make a lot of difference,
23:14and I guess this should help.
23:15Especially in India,
23:17pilgrimage centers,
23:18their flights should be a little cheaper,
23:20so that teenagers can see all that,
23:22now they are more focused on games,
23:24they are more focused on junk foods,
23:25so that is a little costly.
23:27So a very amazing,
23:29thoughtful,
23:30and insightful discussion,
23:31with our beautiful ladies,
23:33so ladies not only take care of the house,
23:36but also take care of the country,
23:38run the country,
23:39and also pass the country's budget,
23:41which we have been seeing for so many years,
23:43so 3-4 things that have come out,
23:46from this whole discussion,
23:48one should be more work on education,
23:51one should be more work on skill development,
23:54if you provide a skill,
23:56then how will it be used,
23:58how will jobs be generated from it,
24:00how will you get employment,
24:01that was a very important point,
24:03which has come out of this whole discussion,
24:05the government should also focus more on the health care system,
24:09and the lollipop that is given in the name of freebies,
24:14our ladies believe that we do not need it,
24:19women should be empowered more,
24:21there are many more things that can be done for women,
24:24by which women will be more empowered,
24:28a separate point of tourism has come out,
24:32that our country's children,
24:34youth,
24:35women,
24:36they should be able to see more of the beauty of India,
24:39for this,
24:40a little more discount should be found in travel,
24:43what should be cheap,
24:44what should be expensive,
24:45you have heard that,
24:46what are your expectations from this budget 2025,
24:49do tell us in the comment section,
24:51that's all in this video,
