00:00What do you want from the budget, sir?
00:02Respect
00:02Even I am getting what no one else is paying
00:06Corporate tax
00:07It is I think 25%
00:08I may be wrong
00:0925% or so
00:10Why the individual taxation is 30-32%
00:13Including surcharge
00:14Yes
00:15If you look at any bank
00:17Banks' net interest margin is around 3-4%
00:21Why?
00:22Why doesn't everyone pay tax?
00:23Zero tax, 1% tax, 0.5% tax, whatever
00:26There will be free tax, right?
00:28Why do you want free tax?
00:29You are getting something in return, right?
00:31There is no clarity in GST
00:33That this product should cost 12%
00:35Or 18%
00:36Simplify it
00:37Why can't they reduce the interest rates
00:40On the loan to these electric generation companies
00:43Distributions and discomps and transfers and all that
00:46And with someone else's unpaid tax money
00:49I don't see any difference
00:51The whole of India should be in the tax bracket
00:53Who can pay
01:00Union Budget 2025 is around the corner
01:03And only a few days are left
01:05When the country's budget will be presented
01:07Last year when the full budget came
01:09There were a lot of expectations of people
01:12Which were not fulfilled
01:13Whether it is about tax
01:15Whether it is about corporate
01:16Salary class expectations
01:19Whether it is about health care
01:20Whether it is about education
01:22So this time people have a lot of expectations
01:24Everyone's eyes are fixed on the budget
01:27Nirmala Sreedharaman who is the country's finance minister
01:30How much relief is she going to give in the budget this time
01:33What does the common man of the country want from this budget?
01:37Are you salaried?
01:39Do you pay taxes to the government?
01:42What do you want from the budget?
01:44Today we will try to find out that
01:46So what are the expectations
01:48We will try to find out about the budget
01:50Hi this is Bhavna and you are watching Good Returns
01:53Hello sir
01:55Budget 2025 is going to be presented very soon
01:59I would like to know from all of you
02:01What are your expectations about the budget?
02:04What do you want from the budget?
02:06Respect
02:07In what way?
02:08We don't get respect ma'am
02:10Where are we getting respect?
02:12We pay taxes in the budget
02:14What do we get on the basis of that tax?
02:17How do I know?
02:18How do I know that
02:20Whether what I am getting from the money given to me is right or not
02:24If you follow the numbers
02:26There is a population of 145 crores
02:298 crore people pay taxes
02:326 crore people come between 0 to 5 lakh
02:361.5 crore people come in the limit of 5 to 10
02:40So how much contribution is being made from the money given by those 50 lakh people
02:47And what benefit are they getting
02:49From the money given to me
02:52And from the money given to someone else
02:56I don't see any difference
02:59I am getting what no one else is getting
03:03So what do you want?
03:04What should be in the tax?
03:05Increase it
03:07Everyone should pay taxes
03:09Zero tax, 1% tax, 0.5% tax
03:12Anything
03:13No one earns anything
03:15GST collection is increasing
03:17It is increasing every year
03:18It is increasing every month
03:19Taxation figure is not increasing
03:21Income tax figure is not increasing
03:23A person starts earning money in the property
03:25Taxation increases
03:27People started earning money in the stock market
03:29Taxation increased there
03:31A new system came out
03:32So I just feel that
03:34It is a very simple way of the government
03:37To impose taxes
03:39And to take from those people who are giving
03:42Those who are not giving are not getting
03:45So my hope from the budget is
03:48To bring maximum people in the taxation bracket
03:53To increase the tax bracket
03:55And to reduce the bracket of those who are giving
03:58These are my only hopes
04:00So you want to say that
04:01The tax which is zero till now
04:04Should be brought in the taxation area
04:07Yes, definitely
04:08So there will be a free tax
04:10Why should there be a free tax?
04:12You are getting something in return
04:14If I am giving tax
04:15Then am I complaining that
04:17Don't charge me tax
04:19I am also giving tax
04:20I am giving tax even if I am earning less
04:22I am giving tax even if I am earning more
04:24The person who is earning more by working hard
04:26Is giving tax for one crore
04:27Is he crying that he is not getting anything
04:29Vis-a-vis the person who is not giving anything
04:31He is also getting what I am getting
04:33He is also giving
04:34So I don't think it makes any difference
04:36To every person
04:38Why are you giving the tax you are giving
04:40You are giving so that your country develops
04:42So why would I be sad
04:44To be a part of the development of the country
04:46My expectation from the budget is the same
04:48The whole of India should be in the tax bracket
04:50Who can give
04:52The person who pays GST
04:54He should also get some benefit
04:56Along with the income tax
04:58Sir, how much do you agree with this?
05:00Do you think that this time
05:02In the budget 2025
05:04Because there were a lot of expectations in the budget of 2024
05:07But it only happened that
05:09The standard deduction of 50,000 was made to 75,000
05:11And in return
05:13Tax was increased on LTCG and STCG
05:15This time
05:17If I want to know your expectation
05:19About tax
05:21What will it be?
05:23Whoever is giving tax
05:25Very few people are giving tax
05:27Okay
05:29According to the policies of the government
05:31Whatever taxation is there
05:33And whoever is giving
05:35But in the end
05:37Whoever has a collection
05:39Tax
05:41First of all
05:43It is very important to spend on citizens
05:45In which way?
05:47I think
05:49The future is our children
05:51On the other hand
05:53Social welfare
05:55Is another one important thing
05:57Which
05:59The government should think
06:01On this
06:03Do a little more allocation
06:05And even after allocating
06:07Allocation
06:09Spending
06:11But the result does not come out
06:13This is such a thing
06:15Everything is happening
06:17And the result is not visible
06:19This is apart from the budget
06:21The budget
06:23The government should also see
06:25What they are allocating
06:27How it is being executed
06:29Properly
06:31Education
06:33Social welfare
06:35And apart from this
06:37I think
06:39The basic things
06:41Which a person needs
06:43Clean air, clean water
06:45A good
06:47You can say lifestyle
06:49Or a standard of living
06:51A
06:53Worry-free environment
06:55These are all things
06:57The government should do more on these things
06:59If the citizen is happy
07:01Your country
07:03He will earn more
07:05And he will be happy
07:07To pay the taxes
07:09What are your expectations?
07:11I will talk directly
07:13I run a small and medium enterprise
07:15Businesses
07:17Become very difficult for us
07:19In every aspect
07:21We are small people
07:23We do small manufacturing
07:25You have put so many restrictions on imports
07:27This BIA standard
07:29Don't import this
07:31But what should we do?
07:33These small and medium enterprises
07:35If you put so many restrictions
07:37On all the businesses
07:39Only the big corporations
07:41Will be able to do business
07:43We will not be able to survive in business
07:45You know there are so many issues
07:47In GST
07:49There is no clarity in GST
07:51This product should have 12% or 18%
07:53Simplify it
07:55Now my product
07:57I make dog food
07:59There is animal food
08:01But in animal food
08:03There is 0% GST
08:05And in dog food there is 18% GST
08:07There is so much confusion
08:09No one has clarity
08:11GST structures
08:13Should be simplified
08:15And make businesses
08:17Easy for these small and medium enterprises
08:19Don't make it more difficult
08:21We understand
08:23You want to bring manufacturing in India
08:25That's why you want to restrict imports
08:27China and all of those things
08:29But that has to be
08:31A gradual thing
08:33Not like if you do it suddenly
08:35Our businesses will shut
08:37It has to be a gradual process
08:39You think that much manufacturing
08:41Has come to India yet?
08:43There are other ways
08:45People are doing those duty saving things
08:47And trying and getting those things
08:49And those things are still happening
08:51So what do you think
08:53What can be done to make a manufacturing hub?
08:55China incentivises so much
08:57Where are the incentives here?
09:01There is no infrastructure here
09:03So give infrastructure for that
09:05Subsidise for that
09:07If you want to bring manufacturing
09:09So fast
09:11Or increase it gradually
09:13That's my point
09:15We got an enquiry
09:17I have a manufacturing unit
09:19We make household products
09:21I got an enquiry
09:23So we worked out
09:25We gave our quotations
09:27We were very reasonable with our prices
09:29We got a feedback that your pricing is
09:3110% higher, 20% higher
09:33In following products
09:35Now the thing to understand is
09:37That is the raw material
09:39That they are using
09:41That is the metal to make the tool
09:43Why is my pricing high?
09:45Their material will reach a month earlier than mine
09:47Dollar pricing is the same
09:49The conversion with China is the same
09:51Why am I expensive?
09:53Why don't I have those duties?
09:55Why is my electricity so expensive?
09:59In which area
10:01If I am sitting in the main hub
10:03In Delhi
10:05Then I don't have the right to work
10:07I will have to go somewhere else
10:09These are challenges
10:11We want to do Make in India
10:13But we can only do Make in India
10:15When we can compete with our competitors
10:17That can only happen when
10:19We can compete with our competitors
10:21So in a budget
10:23We should consider
10:25That we can only be a global manufacturing hub
10:27When we can compete with our competitors
10:29When we can compete with our competitors
10:31We don't need
10:33Machinery capabilities
10:35We need help
10:37In making the product
10:39If that material
10:41Is made or sourced by China
10:43And we get it expensive
10:45Then we will never be able to compete
10:47What are your expectations?
10:49More than expectations
10:51I have some questions
10:53He was talking about
10:55The cost in business
10:57He was also subsidizing
10:59The cost
11:01In banks
11:03The net interest margin is around 3-4%
11:05Why?
11:07Why can't this be pegged to 1%?
11:09After deducing the cost
11:11If the bank is profiting 1%
11:13Then that's good enough
11:15That should be there
11:17There will be two advantages
11:19The people retired like us
11:21Our savings
11:23Will be getting more interest
11:25One part
11:27Two, the people who need the money
11:29For the funding of their business
11:31They will be getting a cheaper grade
11:33So it will be beneficial to both of them
11:35That was one
11:37Next, he was talking about electricity
11:39I will give you an example
11:41Of three NBFCs
11:43Non-banking financial companies
11:45PFC, REC and IREDA
11:47What are their annual profits?
11:4915,000 crores and above
11:51Each company
11:53Why do they need so much profit margin?
11:55They are all PSUs
11:57Why can't they reduce
11:59The interest rates on the loan
12:01To these electric generation companies
12:03Distributions and discoms
12:05And transcos and all that
12:07If they reduce the interest rate
12:09The cost of electricity will be reduced
12:11So that will be beneficial
12:13To the industry
12:15Rather than 15,000 crores
12:1720,000 crores
12:19Look at these three companies
12:21If they make 15,000 crores
12:2340,000-45,000 easily they are earning
12:2540,000-45,000 crores
12:27Good amount
12:29So why can't this amount be passed on
12:31To the industry and to the other people
12:33Our cost in electricity
12:35To some extent it will reduce
12:37Why is our electricity so expensive?
12:40So that can be an issue
12:42Then corporate tax
12:44It is I think 25%
12:46I may be wrong
12:4725% or so
12:48Why the individual taxation is 30-32%
12:50Including surcharge
12:52Why can't the individual taxation
12:54Be rationalised at par with the corporate one
12:56So these are the questions
12:58Some of the questions the government has to answer
13:00And this can be through
13:02The budget only
13:06Sir, what are your expectations?
13:09My specialisation is
13:11Agriculture sciences
13:15If you look at pharma
13:17From last many years
13:19We have become relatively more competitive
13:21But the agriculture input industry
13:23Except for fertiliser
13:25We are not basic producers
13:28We don't have any research on that
13:30Our competitor is China
13:33For contract manufacturing
13:36And we are just bringing
13:38Products from China
13:40And even the quality is compromised
13:42So I think this is number one
13:44That we should be very careful about China
13:46It's not the quality of product
13:48It could be anything
13:50And we should encourage our own
13:52Agriculture based input industry
13:54To have basic components
13:56There is no research
13:58In chemistry
14:00There is no research in
14:02New chemical inputs
14:04Number two
14:06We are not producing much
14:08But we are copying Europeans
14:10As far as food is concerned
14:12Now Europeans
14:14They don't grow rice
14:16They don't grow cotton
14:18They don't grow maize
14:20They don't promote GM crops
14:22Because their consumers
14:24Are not consuming
14:26Growing that
14:28So they don't bother
14:30But our farmers are growing rice
14:32They are growing all these crops
14:34And we are not allowing them
14:36We may be having a few NGOs
14:38Who are ideologically different
14:40But they should not influence
14:42Our decisions
14:44That's very important
14:46And if you look at competition
14:48What is competition?
14:50Competition is the rivalry between the two
14:52Which is for a common demand
14:54And rivalry is not between
14:56US and India
14:58Rivalry is between China and India
15:00So if they are
15:02Producing facilities for their
15:04We should come over and above them
15:06Just to beat them
15:08That is animal spirit
15:12Another issue is
15:14Free distribution of benefits
15:16Now
15:18There was a scheme of
15:20Mandrega
15:22It was
15:24A scheme
15:26Where it was given
15:28A scheme where it was
15:30Given some kind of job and respect
15:32For all those
15:34Who were given
15:36And that money was circulated
15:38Again in the system
15:40So if we can have such schemes
15:42Which can
15:44Benefit the smallest or poorest
15:46Of the rural
15:48Mass
15:50It could be any political party
15:52And anything
15:54But this is a kind of cheating
15:56Whether you like it or not
15:58But yes, you can give even more than that
16:00If you are giving
16:022000, you can give 6000
16:0410,000
16:06But if it is given on the exchange
16:08Of some work
16:10Then it makes a difference
16:12If a private company
16:14Is looking after the consumers
16:18Why the government
16:20Cannot look after the consumers
16:22I just want to add
16:24A thing to this
16:26Like he said
16:28I was talking to a friend
16:30A few days back
16:32And we were saying
16:34What is the reason
16:36That MTNL
16:38BSNL
16:40Is in this condition
16:42Earlier the government
16:44Distributed electricity
16:46And then power cuts used to happen
16:48Problems used to happen
16:50I remember
16:52In my childhood
16:54We used to spend so much time
16:56In the drawing room
16:58I used to do my homework
17:00In the drawing room
17:02But now these things
17:04Are not happening
17:06Suddenly the privatisation
17:08Has come
17:10Now you see
17:12What is a private player
17:14Doing which the government
17:16Is not able to do
17:18People are still working
17:20For the private sector
17:22And if the government
17:24Wants to
17:26It has all the institutions
17:28It can take as many students
17:30And get the work done
17:32At a lower price
17:34But like he said
17:36The intent and execution
17:38The government is allocating
17:40Budget in its papers
17:42But where is the execution?
17:44Who is there to see it?
17:46Who is checking
17:48Whether it is being allocated
17:50Properly or not?
17:52There are three needs
17:54Roti, Kapda, Makan
17:56In the case of housing
17:58We are seeing
18:00That the prices
18:02Are skyrocketing
18:04So what should the government
18:06Do?
18:08What relaxation should be given?
18:10What tax benefits should be given?
18:12So that the housing becomes affordable
18:14If there is rebate on the principal
18:16That is too less
18:18It should be increased substantially
18:20I may be wrong
18:22In the last 4-5 years
18:24There has been no increase
18:26Same goes for the interest pay
18:28The rebate on the loan
18:30Is nominal
18:32There is nothing
18:34So both of these two things
18:36Are to be increased substantially
18:38Low cost housing
18:40Especially those
18:42In Delhi slums
18:48We are investing heavily
18:50On roads
18:52On infrastructure
18:54But if you look at the number of houses
18:56You can invest
18:58Any amount of money
19:00But if you give them
19:02Those houses
19:04It will create a lot of employment
19:06At least for 4-5 years
19:08We need a lot of employment
19:10Instead of a free system
19:12We should create a lot of infrastructure
19:14For some of these issues
19:16In the cities
19:18Sir, what do you think?
19:20How can housing be made affordable?
19:22I think
19:24When we go and see the slums
19:26Outside of that
19:28It is so dirty
19:30If I take my child there
19:32He will say that
19:34I can't stay here even for a minute
19:36So affordability is a later thing
19:38First we need to see
19:40The way of living
19:42The standard of living
19:44How can it be improved
19:46And as you are saying
19:48Affordable housing
19:50I don't think
19:52If the government's intention is right
19:54And they already have money
19:56Which they allocate
19:58Then it will be a problem for them
20:00It should not be a problem
20:02For the government to make affordable housing
20:04I mean they have land
20:06The only thing which is lacking
20:08Is the intent
20:10In the last budget
20:12The benefit of indexation was removed
20:14Do you think that decision was right?
20:16And this time
20:18What are your expectations
20:20Regarding indexation and tax?
20:22Tax rate should remain the same
20:24And indexation should be
20:26Continued along with that
20:28What was removed
20:30They reduced the tax rate
20:32But removed indexation
20:34They reduced it from 20 to 12.5
20:36But removed indexation
20:38So indexation should be restored
20:40And 12.5 is okay
20:42It can't be less
20:44And one
20:46Coming on the last
20:48My view is
20:50Income tax should be abolished
20:52Have tax on spending
20:54Who spends how much
20:56Put tax on that
20:58Agriculture income
21:00Is exempted, why?
21:02If agriculture income is not taxed
21:04For 2 to 5 lakhs
21:06Then tax will be imposed
21:08Like normal income
21:10Why is it exempted?
21:12They earn in crores
21:14Very right
21:16So have tax on spending
21:18Instead of income tax
21:20Overall income
21:22Of 99% farmers
21:24Is
21:26Not what it should be
21:28So a healthcare system
21:30Health is very important for everyone
21:32And after covid
21:34We have seen
21:36The necessity of health insurance
21:38What do you think
21:40About insurance
21:42Or healthcare sector
21:44What should be announced?
21:46What should be announced?
21:48Recently a meeting was held
21:50Because
21:52What can be done on health insurance
21:54How taxation benefits
21:56Can be given
21:58That meeting was concluded
22:00What will be the taxation on caramel popcorn
22:02Was decided
22:04What will be the reduction on healthcare
22:06Was not decided
22:08For which purpose that meeting was held
22:10As they said
22:12The intent is missing
22:14You are right
22:16These are basic things
22:18On which
22:20You should not ask
22:22Especially if you are paying
22:24We are paying
22:26If you are paying through
22:28GST
22:30When you are paying
22:32You should not ask
22:34You should get these things
22:36My most common question
22:38What do you think
22:40In budget 2025
22:42Which should be cheap
22:44And which should be expensive
22:46Which should be cheap
22:48Or
22:50I mean
22:52You should abolish
22:54Tax on senior citizens
22:56It is education
22:58It is
23:00Taxation on senior citizens
23:02Which I think were removed
23:04In their reservations
23:06In railways
23:08They should be given back
23:10Because they have lived their lives
23:12And we are here because of them
23:14So first thing is
23:16Education of children
23:18Second is pertaining to senior citizens
23:20Third I think
23:22We should see that
23:24We all are citizens
23:26What is the basic need of every citizen
23:28If he is taking insurance
23:30Health insurance
23:32Of 5 lakhs or 6 lakhs
23:34If he is using GST
23:36Then I think that is not fair
23:38It is not fair
23:40I mean
23:42If you are collecting GST
23:44From your citizens
23:46Then it is not fair
23:48I think luxury products
23:50Should be cheap
23:52You should put extra GST on that
23:54Because they can afford to pay for it
23:56The food products
23:58You should put tax on packed
24:00Versus unpacked
24:02That shouldn't be there
24:04Food is food
24:06How does it matter
24:08GST should be same
24:10But you put tax on luxury products
24:12That makes sense to us
24:14I think food products and education
24:16As was suggested by my colleague
24:18Consumers too are important
24:20Because the major part of
24:22Inflation is through food sector
24:24We need to be
24:26Concerned about consumers
24:28But consumers can be supported
24:30If we sincerely
24:32Support the farmers
24:34Otherwise consumers will not be put
24:36What should be cheap and what should be expensive
24:38Senior citizens
24:40If anyone retired and not
24:42Working anywhere
24:44That income from
24:46Deposits
24:48Interest income should be
24:50Exempted
24:52Now it is for 80 and above
24:54Not above 60
24:56I must have paid around
24:58Crores of rupees in tax
25:00In my entire service
25:02Now I am paying tax on the interest
25:04That is not fair
25:06You should be exempted
25:08One, two, education
25:10No tax
25:12Number three
25:14CSR expenses
25:16Every company has to incur 2%
25:18You can't show that
25:20In business income
25:22Basically
25:24It is included in your profit
25:26You are paying tax on that
25:28I am at the corporates
25:30At least you should
25:32Reduce the tax on that
25:34And instead of 2% increase 2.5%
25:36Or 3% or 4% CSR spend
25:38CSR is going well
25:40That should be done
25:42That should be done
25:44And last
25:46Abolish income tax
25:48Have spending tax
25:50What are luxury goods?
25:52Redefine it
25:54Milk was basic, paneer was luxury
25:56Now paneer is not luxury
25:58It is basic
26:00Define luxury and basic
26:02And accordingly
26:04Redefine your taxation
26:06And I agree
26:08The common thing
26:10In today's date
26:12Why is he paying 12% or 18% tax on that?
26:14It is not allowed
26:16It is a luxury
26:18If a person is buying his first car
26:20And it is his first vehicle
26:22There should be a separate taxation
26:24If a person is buying a luxury car
26:26And buying a second, third, fourth car
26:28All these things should be considered
26:30Mobile phones used to be luxury
26:32In today's date
26:34You have brought UPI
26:36A vegetable seller
26:38It is not a luxury
26:40It is not a luxury
26:42It is not a luxury
26:44It should be redefined
26:46It should be redefined
26:48So, Motamati
26:50Who has come out of this discussion
26:52This is the point
26:54Luxury and our basic needs
26:56Need to be redefined
26:58Apart from this
27:00Our basic needs
27:02Basic needs are
27:04Bread, clothes and house
27:06Government needs to take more steps
27:08On this
27:10We need to work on skill development
27:12And one common thing
27:14We have come to know
27:16That these freebies
27:18Are not going to help
27:20It is just for vote bank
27:22Apart from this
27:24There should be changes in tax system
27:26Because people believe
27:28That we pay tax
27:30Apart from that, we pay GST
27:32One more thing
27:34The freedom to do business
27:36We will only be able to become China's alternative
27:38When in our country
27:40Our production will increase
27:42But for that, what is the government doing
27:44We need to focus on that
27:46A lot
27:48So viewers
