00:00Hello, here's your latest weather update from the Met Office. I'm Mark O'Britannia and we've
00:03got a very unsettled afternoon to come across the UK. A swathe of rain moving its way in
00:07from the south-west across all parts into the south-west this morning and then pushing
00:11in across other parts of the UK into the afternoon. That rain is starting to turn to snow across
00:15the hills as it reaches the north Pennines into parts of Scotland too. During the middle
00:19part of the afternoon it's the far north of Scotland holding on to some brighter weather
00:23and notice down towards the south-west once the rain moves through it starts to turn brighter
00:26or more showy. But wherever you are it will be very blustery, we like to see gales across
00:30some southern and western parts of the UK and some particularly heavy rain across parts
00:34of Wales too. Temperature is pretty academic given the unsettled weather reaching highs
00:38towards the north of 4 to 6 Celsius possibly peaking down towards the south and south-west
00:42at 10 or 11 Celsius. 11 is 52 in Fahrenheit. As we go into the evening and through the
00:48overnight period that first wave of rain with hill snow across parts of Scotland gradually
00:52pushes its way towards the north of the UK. For a time there will be some clearer weather
00:56to the south but notice further outbreaks of rain moving in from the south-west pushing
01:00north-eastwards across much of England and Wales and we need to keep an eye on the strength
01:03of the wind particularly towards the south-east. Here we like to see gales at times but notice
01:07later in the night generally turning clearer with blustery showers across many southern
01:11and south-western areas. Temperature is again pretty academic, we can see a touch of frost
01:16towards the north into low single figures here but elsewhere generally holding up in
01:19the mid single figures at around 4 to 6 Celsius so mostly frost free as we go into Monday
01:24morning. So we start the new working week then on again a very showy note across the
01:29UK, low pressure sitting just towards the west of the UK, showers in fact longer spells
01:32of rain at times sweeping in from the south and west across pretty much all of the UK
01:36as we go through the day. Still a bit of winter mist across the hilltops in Scotland and again
01:40a very blustery day across the UK particularly towards the south-west here we like to see
01:45gales at times and some heavy rain particularly again across parts of Wales as we go through
01:48the day on Monday. Temperature is a bit higher than on Sunday peaking in the range 6 to 9
01:53Celsius possibly locally 10 towards the south-west but again feeling pretty much cooler out and
01:57about given the strength of the wind and those showy bursts of rain developing across the
02:01UK at times. Into the evening not much change I'm afraid, low pressure still in control,
02:05there will be further showers or longer spells of rain to come and again it's going to be
02:09a pretty blustery end to the day with gales in places. That's pretty much it for me but
02:14of course you can keep tuned to the Met Office forecast by following us on social media and
02:18by subscribing to our YouTube channel. I'll see you soon, take care, bye bye for now.
