The Cowboys officially introduced Brian Schottenheimer this afternoon, and the reaction from fans was... not the most positive. K&C discuss the hiring, how it went down on a Friday night when nobody was expecting the news to drop, and why people were dreading this hire more than they were looking forward to it.

00:00I feel like new slate. I need to start off flat. Okay. Okay. For Schottenheimer specifically
00:23just for him, just for him. There are a lot of, there are a lot of negative things that
00:28you can look at and go, the offense hasn't been that good. So why do we want to get consistency
00:32and continuity with it? If we need to change it? Uh, that's, that's a real question I think
00:37gets asked today. I think it should. The, but I want to give him a chance before anything
00:42else. It doesn't, it doesn't excite me. It's not something splashy. It doesn't go, you
00:46know what? I think this is going to change the culture and everything else, but I also
00:49don't feel like you could really change the culture anyway, because it's already built.
00:53You just have to deal with that. But I'm trying to be flat with it and not go to like
00:59about everything about it. Cause there's a lot of things that are not making me excited
01:03for it yet. And that's one of the things I was going to the way, the way I phrased it.
01:09And if you think this is unfair, like we can definitely have that conversation. The Cowboys
01:13officially have a new head coach and it's the guy, a lot of folks dreaded. Yeah. And
01:18that's probably not fair because all of the people that we recommended, hell, you just
01:22brought it up. Whether it was Ben Johnson or Aaron Glenn or Joe Brady or whoever you
01:32thought it was, it's because you love what they did in their previous place. But who's
01:39to say you even have the ability to do that here.
