00:00Good morning, it's Steph at the Doncaster Free Press on Tuesday the 28th of January
00:04bringing you our headlines this morning. Yesterday I sent out a piece from Sally
00:10Jameson, the Doncaster MP. She's shared her concerns about the future of two
00:16historic lime trees which are set to be cut down. They're in Tick Hill. A support
00:21group has been set up campaigning to save the trees so you can read all about
00:26that. We'll be keeping you updated on that story as well because it's got a
00:31lot of interest in it. So what else have we got here? A good one, if your
00:39kids are going to school or about to go to school, we've got the 17 best state
00:44primary schools in South Yorkshire from New Quays Skills League tables. They're
00:52always putting together some sort of table based on GCC results, mean
00:57averages, all sorts. So you can read the 17 best there, see how your school has
01:03fared. That's doing really well for us at the moment and no doubt will
01:08continue as the day goes on. And then finally, yesterday was National
01:14Holocaust Day and to commemorate that 80 trees have been planted across
01:19Doncaster, marking 80 years since the liberation of Auschwitz. The trees have
01:27been put in a variety of sites. We've got Conisbrook Welfare Recreation Ground,
01:31Bentley Park, Sandal Park and Reeves Way Park. The trees have all been
01:36planted in there and the information leaked and put in place for people to go
01:40to commemorate and reflect on that horrific time. So for that story, for
01:46anything else that's happening in Doncaster, just visit www.doncasterfreepass.co.uk,
01:52Facebook and X and have a great Tuesday.
