00:00Good morning everyone, it's Steph at the Doncaster Free Press on Thursday, February the 13th.
00:04Just bringing you some of our headlines today.
00:07This morning I'll be putting out a reminder to people that there's going to be some urgent upgrades to be carried out
00:12on level crossings in Doncaster.
00:15We've got teams that will be working round the clock on the improvements at Thornmoor Ends and Stainford Road this month.
00:21It's all part of a £183 investment which will include renewing the level crossing decks, railway track and road surfaces.
00:29So obviously there's going to be some delays, some diversions in place.
00:32So please take a read of that so your journeys aren't impeded by it.
00:38Then yesterday a couple of really good pieces that were sent out.
00:43One from the Mayor of South Yorkshire with regards to Doncaster Sheffield Airport.
00:51The authority has pledged £10 million towards the reopening of the airport.
00:57This was shortly followed by an announcement from the council that they would be match funding £10 million.
01:04So that's £20 million in total towards the reopening of the site there.
01:08So that's some really good news and as always we'll keep you updated on the airport as and when things come in.
01:16It's certainly taking pace at the moment.
01:22And then finally just one of our usual food hygiene ratings is at the top of the charts again this morning.
01:28I put out a few yesterday, four in total.
01:32Good news for most of them but one has actually received a really really low mark which means major improvements are necessary.
01:40So that's on our website as well today.
01:42So for those stories and for anything else that's happening across the city please visit www.doncasterfieldfest.co.uk
01:49and of course Facebook and X and have a great Thursday.
