00:00 Good morning, it's Steph at the Doncaster Free Press and it's Thursday December the 28th.
00:04 I'm just back from a little trip into the city centre actually, quite a few people about
00:08 sales shopping by the looks of it. The train station was particularly busy, obviously people
00:14 to-ing and fro-ing after visiting relatives or returning home after Christmas and heading back
00:20 to work and what have you in the new year, so that was really nice to see. But anyway,
00:24 what I'm here for now is your headlines today. The police issued a CCTV image yesterday of a
00:31 woman they wish to speak to in relation to an incident which happened in Biscuit Billies in
00:36 Silver Street, that was earlier this month. A man suffered life-altering eye injuries after he was
00:43 bottled and there is quite a clear picture of the woman they want to speak to in relation to that
00:48 incident, so please take a look and get in touch with the force if you do know anything about that
00:56 incident. Then we've got a couple of hygiene rating stories out, we've got a couple of takeaways
01:02 that received ratings recently, one of them only received a 1, but quite a few have received 3s and
01:10 4s so that's much better for them. Obviously there is still room for improvement but we'll
01:16 continue to bring you those ratings as and when the Food Standards Agency send them out to us.
01:22 Lastly, we also have a story that came out yesterday from the Neighbourhood Policing
01:28 team, they've discovered £100,000 street value worth of cannabis at a production in the city
01:38 centre again in Doncaster, that was yesterday morning, so you can read all about that.
01:44 Obviously they were tapping into some electricity supplies, quite dangerous,
01:48 but we have all the details anyway on the website today. So for those stories and for anything else
01:53 that's happening in Doncaster today, just visit the website www.doncasterfreepress.co.uk or of
02:00 course you can catch us on X and also Facebook. Hope you have a great Thursday.
