00:09that was held in Angeles City, Pampanga.

00:19Dozens of world-class athletes

00:21participated in Angeles City, Pampanga

00:23this past weekend

00:25for the 2025 IWWF Asia and Oceania

00:29Cable Wakeboard and Wakeskate Championships.

00:33The heavyweights of Asia

00:35like Raf Trinidad of the Philippines

00:37and Stanislav Fidelski of Kurdistan

00:39also participated in the event.

00:40But of course, the junior wakeboarders

00:43of the Philippine team were not the only ones.

00:45Among them were the Quirino brothers

00:48James Damance, Curly Santiago, and Ryan Alias.

00:53Curly, who is 12 years old,

00:55was awarded this medal

00:57in the Under-14 Ladies Wakeboard.

01:00I'm nervous.

01:01Of course, a lot of things can go wrong.

01:05So, it's just a group.

01:09Nothing can be left behind

01:11for all the trainings.

01:14So, that's all.

01:15Maybe I'll join another competition

01:20and represent the Philippines again.

01:22James is 10 years old.

01:24It's only been 7 months

01:26since he started this sport.

01:28Despite that, he won a bronze medal

01:31in the Under-14 Men's Wakeboard category.

01:34His idol is the top wakeboarder of the Philippines,

01:37Trinidad, and he wants to follow in his footsteps.

01:41Rafi Trinidad is one of them.

01:44He's good at rails.

01:47He's kind.

01:48He's good at his games.

01:53Ryan is 15 years old.

01:55He didn't win a medal in his category.

01:58Despite that, he's happy to represent the country

02:02even though he's under a lot of pressure.

02:05It's fun to forget the pressure.

02:09It's no wonder that at such a young age,

02:12he's able to perform on the international stage

02:15of the up-and-coming boarders.

02:46In their own way,

02:48Nina James, Curly and Ryan proved

02:51that the Philippines has a bright future
