00:00Angelo, what was your reaction when you heard that he passed away?

00:04It was like a shock, but it was a mixed emotion.

00:11I worked with Auntie Glo, I worked with her for the longest time, in Ninong.

00:18It was 10 years ago. She was 81 at that time.

00:23Before that, when I was younger, I was still in the Philippines.

00:26Of course, there were men passing by.

00:28There was no one who wouldn't pass by.

00:30So that was the first time.

00:32So when I found out, it was like our millennial days flashed back.

00:37Which was really amazing at her age.

00:40Because in Laguna, we were always dating.

00:44Auntie Wee, Auntie Nova, Sister Cherrypie told me,

00:53I told them the truth, I didn't hear any complaints.

00:59You won't hear anything that's not good.

01:05She's always smiling.

01:06The thing I admire the most is that she knows her lines more than I do.

01:12I was still young.

01:13You know, she didn't take two, ever.

01:19I was the one who would be embarrassed if I made a mistake.

01:27She would be kind to everyone on the set.

01:30She would tell me that she had a birthday.

01:37You would just admire her.

01:40Because she has a different breed of artists.

01:45Professionalism-wise, attitude-wise.

01:49Auntie Kwai said something earlier.

01:52She said, I hope that the new artists now have a job.

01:57Or that they get to know each other.

01:59And that struck me.

02:02I'm fortunate that I was able to have that moment with her.

02:08That's why I was amazed.

02:10But when I saw her, she was at peace.

02:14And based on all the stories of all the artists and everyone,

02:20she lived a full life.

02:23Angelo, do you remember that you were together in the Philippines?

02:27Did she give you advice?

02:30Yeah, about professionalism.

02:33She said, if you love what you do, you'd take care of it.

02:38I think that's what attracted me.

02:40It's true.

02:41Normally, you take things for granted.

02:44I think that's what attracted me.

02:47If you love someone, you'll love them back.

02:53I guess that's what attracted me.

02:55I think after that, I didn't complain anymore.

03:00In some way, I was embarrassed.

03:03Because seeing her not complaining after 2 a.m.,

03:08we had to go home from Laguna to Manila.

03:11I was embarrassed to complain.

03:15But I think after that show,

03:17I had a different respect for the industry because of her.

03:21It's a huge loss for you.

03:23Yes.

03:24It's a huge loss for the new artists.

03:31But if it's a loss for the industry,

03:33she has lived and given her all to the industry.

03:39If we go back, she loved the industry.

03:44That's why it's called the Queen of the Philippine Industry.

03:59Regal.

04:01She's really regal.

04:03That's what makes her regal.

04:06As a queen, she carried herself that way.
