वाराणसी, यूपी : महाकुंभ में मौनी अमावस्या के महापर्व पर अमृत स्नान चल रहा है। प्रयागराज में आज तड़के हुई भगदड़ की घटना के बाद वाराणसी में प्रशासन अलर्ट है। वाराणसी में पलट प्रवाह को देखते हुए बड़ी संख्या में श्रद्धालु आ रहे हैं। इसे लेकर प्रशासन ने विशेष योजना बनाई है। काशी विश्वनाथ धाम क्षेत्र में विशेष होल्डिंग एरिया बनाए गए हैं। स्कूलों-कॉलेजों में भी होल्डिंग एरिया बनाए गए हैं। यात्रियों के लिए पेयजल और शौचालय की व्यवस्था की गई है। घाट की साइड में बैरिकेडिंग की गई है। बस स्टेशन और रेलवे स्टेशन पर भी होल्डिंग एरिया बनाए गए हैं। बाहरी वाहनों को जिले के बॉर्डर पर ही रोका जा रहा है। पुलिस की तरफ से भी सुरक्षा व्यवस्था की गई है। स्कूल को ऑनलाइन चलाने की एडवाइजरी जारी कर दी गयी है।
