00:00Hello and welcome to Manchester World. Here is a rundown of some of the best things that you can do in the city.
00:05Firstly, PUSH Festival is on at home over the next two weeks with all kinds of amazing performances and showcases,
00:10providing an amazing opportunity to see some of the most wildly creative people in action.
00:16With short films, art, science and theatre taking centre stage, it really does feel like an exciting opportunity,
00:21so be sure to get down and give it a try.
00:23This week also sees the opening of the Six Nations Fan Zone at Freight Island.
00:26The tournament itself gets started this Friday.
00:28This weekend is also Chinese New Year, so big celebrations are planned in the city.
00:32The Dragon Parade is likely to attract people from far and wide,
00:35while Chinatown itself will be hosting a range of activities and celebrations.
00:39There's also Beavertown's event with Night and Day in the Northern Quarter,
00:42which is set to be headlined by Opus Kink, a post-punk jazz group which looks as though it could be a lot of fun.
