Four people who violently assaulted a teenager and left him to bleed to death in a Palmerston driveway in 2022 have been sentenced for his murder.

00:00Kingsley Alley Jr. was just 18 years old when he was chased down, violently attacked and
00:07left for dead.
00:09Today in the Supreme Court, three of his four killers were delivered mandatory life sentences,
00:14while the fourth, aged 17 at the time, was given 14 years.
00:19The court heard that after a house party in the Palmerston suburb of Driver, Declan Warramurra,
00:24Madison Butler and the teenager, who cannot be named, violently assaulted Mr Alley with
00:29a knife and metal poles, while Melissa Clancy shouted encouragement.
00:34Speaking outside court, Mr Alley's sister said her family was grateful justice had been
00:39served and they would pray that his killers reflected on their actions.
00:43He was a supportive person, he was an athlete, he was an amazing, smart, kind, beautiful
00:52soul, old soul, definitely an old soul.
00:58He will always be a part of our family, never ever will be forgotten from his family.

01:08Outside court, lawyers for Warramurra and Clancy said they would appeal the jury's verdicts,
01:12while the others are understood to be considering their options.
01:16If unsuccessful, the three adults will be able to apply for parole in 2042 and the 17
01:21year old will be eligible for release in 2029.
