00:05a Be Ready or Business Ready Environment was established by ARTA with the World Bank.

00:50or the Ease of Doing Business and Efficient Government Service Delivery Act of 2018.

00:55According to the Anti-Red Tape Authority,

00:57the law will be applicable to business investors.

01:00These scores show regulatory framework excellence

01:06attributing to the government's ongoing ease of doing business initiatives and digitalization efforts

01:14which have streamlined regulatory processes, enhanced transparency, and reduced bureaucratic inefficiency.

01:25To further strengthen the government's commitment to fight against the economic crisis

01:29and reduce the country's poverty rate,

01:32ARTA and the World Bank Group held a forum

01:35discussing the Be Ready or Business Ready Environment.

01:39Its aim is to provide solutions to the problems faced by businesses in the country.

01:44According to the World Bank,

01:46the country's large labor capability does not meet the lack of employment opportunities.

01:53Because of the lack of employment opportunities,

01:56one of the main reasons is the delay of investors due to the long process of obtaining permits.

02:03The analytical framework Be Ready was also discussed.

02:07It is one of the lessons learned from the efforts of various industries in the Philippines.

02:13Business Ready has this short name, Be Ready,

02:19which of course as you can tell is a call for action.

02:23Because this is exactly what is needed,

02:26a call for action from the private sector and also from the government.

02:31According to the World Bank,

02:33the ease of doing business is effective to reduce the country's poverty rate.

02:38The labor sector has given 12 million jobs.

02:44Over the past decade, the Philippines has made significant progress

02:48in improving the business environment.

02:51The passage of the Ease of Doing Business Act

02:55and the establishment of the Anti-Red Tape Authority

02:59are key milestones in this journey.
