अहमदाबाद (गुजरात) - गुजरात में रोबोट की मदद से रेडिएशन देकर कैंसर की गांठ को खत्म करने का काम किया जा रहा है। अहमदाबाद सिविल अस्पताल परिसर में स्थित गुजरात कैंसर रिसर्च इंस्टीट्यूट (जीसीआरआई) में रोबोट की मदद से रेडिएशन देकर कैंसर का उपचार करने वाली कई अत्याधुनिक मशीनें हैं। इसमें तीन लिनियर एसेलरेटर, एक कोबाल्ट (भामाट्रोन), एक इरिडियम (माइक्रो सिलेक्ट्रोन), 4 डी सीटी सिम्युलेटर और एक कन्वेंशनल (एक्सरे सिम्युलेटर) शामिल है। 95 करोड़ की लागत से इन मशीनों को इंस्टीट्यूट में लाकर प्रशिक्षित चिकित्सक व टेक्नीशियन की टीम मरीजों का उपचार कर रही है। इस कारण से इलाज की लागत कम हो गई है। दूसरी मशीनों से जिस इलाज की लागत 5 लाख रुपए होती थी, इस मशीन से उसका इलाज केवल 75 हजार रुपए में होगा।
