दिल्ली: प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने मंगलवार को लोकसभा में राष्ट्रपति के अभिभाषण पर चर्चा का जवाब देते हुए कहा कि हमारे स्वच्छ भारत अभियान का ऐसे मज़ाक उड़ाया गया जैसे हमने कोई पाप कर दिया हो या कोई गलती कर दी हो। इसके खिलाफ़ बहुत कुछ कहा गया, लेकिन आज मुझे ये कहते हुए संतोष होता है कि स्वच्छता के इन प्रयासों की वजह से ही सरकार ने पिछले कुछ सालों में सिर्फ़ सरकारी दफ्तरों का कबाड़ बेचकर 2,300 करोड़ रुपए कमाए हैं।
