00:00With one sordid affair and a whopping seven marriages, Elizabeth Taylor could have written
00:05the book on romance.
00:07Despite her many mates, Taylor had just four children.
00:11Her grandchildren, however, number into the double digits.
00:14Although she has since passed, Elizabeth Taylor's grandchildren are keeping her legacy alive.
00:21Leila Wilding
00:22In 1971, Taylor got to meet her very first grandchild, Leila Wilding.
00:28Growing up in Northern California, Leila spent lots of time with her grandmother, including
00:32almost every holiday and occasional Sundays.
00:35These days, Leila is a graphic designer in Portland, Oregon, and works closely with the
00:39Elizabeth Taylor AIDS Foundation, as Taylor did when she was alive.
00:43She explained,
00:44"...we are determined to support the legacy of our grandmother and let the world know
00:48the foundation is thriving."
00:51Naomi DeLucci-Wilding
00:54Leila's little sister, Naomi DeLucci-Wilding, was born in 1975.
00:59Despite being just four years apart in age, they had different relationships with Taylor.
01:03Unlike Leila, Naomi was only able to see her grandmother over the holidays due to living
01:07in the United Kingdom.
01:09Like her big sis, Naomi is also an ambassador for the Elizabeth Taylor AIDS Foundation.
01:14Additionally, she runs the Wilding-Cran Gallery, a contemporary art gallery in Los Angeles,
01:19California, along with her husband, Anthony Cran.
01:22Like Taylor, Naomi has grown up to be a true success.
01:28Elizabeth Eliza Carson
01:29Maria Burton, Taylor's adopted daughter with husband Richard Burton, went on to have a
01:34child of her own in 1982, Elizabeth Carson.
01:37When Elizabeth, or Eliza as she prefers to be called, was a teenager, she often stayed
01:42at her grandmother's sprawling estate.
01:44While Eliza admitted that she loved the glitz and glamour of her grandmother's lifestyle,
01:49she appreciated her humanitarianism most of all.
01:52Despite Eliza, who works for the Department of Child Protection in Manhattan, she always
01:57stood up for what was right.
01:59Like her older cousins, she, too, is an ambassador for the Elizabeth Taylor AIDS Foundation.
02:05Caleb and Andrew Wilding
02:07In the early 1980s, Taylor's son Christopher Wilding and his wife Aileen Getty adopted
02:12a son named Caleb.
02:14Soon after, Getty gave birth to son Andrew Wilding.
02:18Despite a tumultuous childhood that included their mother's HIV diagnosis and drug addiction,
02:23Caleb and Andrew have grown up unscathed.
02:26Andrew has even taken to Hollywood, much like his grandmother, as a cinematographer.
02:33Quinn Tivey
02:34Taylor's sixth grandchild, Quinn Tivey, grew up to be an artist as well as a co-trustee
02:40of the Elizabeth Taylor Trust, Town & Country reported.
02:43After his beloved grandmother's death, Quinn realized he wanted to be more involved in
02:48the Elizabeth Taylor AIDS Foundation.
02:50He explained,
02:51"...through that experience we had the opportunity to see how crucial it was for her family to
02:55be participating in her legacy."
02:59Tarquin Wilding
03:01Tarquin Wilding is Layla and Naomi Wilding's younger brother and the seventh grandchild
03:06to Taylor.
03:07The Taylor family tree is, of course, only made exponentially more confusing when cousins
03:12like Tarquin and Quinn share such similar names.
03:15That's not all Tarquin has in common with his family members, though.
03:19Similar to Andrew Wilding's career as a cinematographer, Tarquin grew up to embrace Hollywood.
03:24At just 28 years old, he's already working as a filmmaker.
03:29Reese Tivey
03:30At 27, Reese Tivey has already accomplished so much.
03:35According to the Elizabeth Taylor AIDS Foundation, Reese grew up in a rural part of upstate New
03:40York before moving to the city to pursue a Bachelor's of Music in Jazz performance
03:45at the New York University Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Human Development.
03:51These days, he's a triple threat, a trumpeter, vocalist, and a songwriter.
03:56In addition to performing throughout the Big Apple, Reese has taught music and yoga to
04:00middle school children all over the city, from Brooklyn to Manhattan to the Bronx.
04:06Lowell Wilding
04:07For Lowell Wilding, Taylor's eighth grandchild, it's obvious that the love and appreciation
04:13for his grandmother runs deep.
04:15Lowell said his hope is to continue her legacy as well as preserve it.
04:20He has since backed up his words with actions.
04:22As of the making of this video, he is working to create a new addition to the Elizabeth
04:26Taylor Trust and Elizabeth Taylor Archive.
04:30Like many of his relatives, Lowell lives in Los Angeles.
04:33This way, he stays close to Beverly Hills, where his grandmother's trust is based and
04:37her legacy is, as Lowell hoped, preserved and continued.
