00:00In basketball, the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League or MPBL still has two big changes.
00:06In the format of the upcoming season 7, the league will start in March.
00:11On behalf of the team owners, the North and South Division Finals will be the Best of 5 Series instead of the Best of 3.
00:18The Best of 5 will remain the National Finals between the North and South Champions.
00:23Another change is the implementation of the play-in for the last two places in the playoffs after the elimination round.
00:29In the new system, the top six teams of the North and South Division will go straight to the quarterfinals while the next four teams will fight for the remaining two places.
00:39Ranked 7 and 8 teams will compete to be included in the top six.
00:43The loser will have one more chance to enter as an 8th seed if he can beat the ranked 9th and 10th teams.
