00:00Assa Aeroporti and the Italian airports, together to tell the central role of the sector for economic development, progress and sustainability of our country.
00:13This is Airport Day, a widespread event made of talks, meetings and institutional meetings, a day dedicated to a company that accounts for 3.8% of the Italian GDP and generates 1.3 million jobs.
00:26An important sector of a constant process of innovation and transformation, always committed to combining social, economic and environmental sustainability values.
00:35Airports play a very strong role in the territories. Naturally, depending on the dimensions and locations of the airports in the territories, this role declines in a different way.
00:47But once it was said, from spaces to places, and we want to go beyond, from spaces to morphs, basically, to subjects of a comprehensive development of the territories.
00:58And many examples, many paths in progress, show that this is true.
01:03Airport Day, in progress in Italian airports, was presented in Rome with a press conference, live with the airport management companies,
01:11which saw the participation of the Vice President of the Council of Ministers and Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, Matteo Salvini,
01:17of the President of ENAC, Pierluigi Di Palma, of the Administrator and Delegate of SACE, Alessandra Ricci,
01:23of the Delegate of the President of Confindustria for Transport, Leopoldo Destro, together with the President of Assa Aeroporti, Carlo Borgomeo.
01:30The role of airports is fundamental, because if we think about what is the impact of airports on the export key, it makes a plus 10%.
01:37So it means that every time we invest in airports, we are investing in our ability to export, and therefore we are investing in the growth of our country.
01:45Today, post-pandemic, at a time of extreme re-launch of the sector, also from the point of view of the tourist state,
01:50we have supported three airports that go from Bergamo to Verona, the Tuscan airports,
01:55for all those that are investments in the expansion of the tracks, of the part of the terminal,
01:59of the part of investments that also go to renew to make airports more and more efficient from an energy point of view.
02:06The event was also an opportunity to present the manifesto of the Italian airports,
02:11a document that summarizes in five points the values and objectives that move the airport system,
02:16a commitment shared for a present and a future where mobility, development and innovation travel together.
02:22We have on the table the national plan for the development of airports by 2035,
02:27worked with all of you, worked with those in connection, worked with the stakeholders of the next publication.
02:33There is a desire for further openings that we are examining with all the competent entities.
02:40It was a great 2024 and I think it could be an even better 2025.
02:47Despite the fact that some people have fears about DAZI, about clashes, about geopolitics,
02:53I think the exact opposite will be true.
