00:00How do you sell players to come play in New England?
00:02I think the easy answer is just pay them more money, which we can get to,
00:06because I have questions about that with Kraft.
00:08How do you sell them? Is it as simple as Drake May?
00:10So I think to put money to the side, because I think money is the number one thing everywhere.
00:14I know like Miles Garrett was saying it isn't the most important thing, but whatever.
00:18It is for almost every single player.
00:20Maybe you can find like 1% of guys that isn't.
00:23So I think you can sell them on a few different things.
00:24One would be Drake May.
00:26I think another would be Mike Vrabel.
00:28I think both of those guys are pretty easy sells to be honest.
00:33And then depending on the player in the position,
00:35don't you also sell them on their role and how important they're going to be to the turnaround?
00:40Like I think if you brought in...
00:41Right, it's like we have Vrabel, we have Drake May, we have nothing else.
00:44You guys can be part of it.
00:46We're set at coach quarterback.
00:47Yeah.
00:48You guys can be part of the turnaround,
00:49and you're going to be the best player at your position.
00:51You're going to be a leader at your position.
00:53Yeah.
00:54You're going to get a lot of play.
00:54If you're a receiver or running back, there's tons of playing time for you.
00:58Yeah.
00:58Yeah.
00:58And the NFL is different than the other sports too,
01:01because actually maybe the NBA is even becoming this way too.
01:06They're really market-proof.
01:07You don't have to play in New York.
01:08You don't have to play in LA to be on every commercial and super famous.
01:14And if you're winning and you're really good, you're going to be there.
01:17You see Rob Gronkowski everywhere you go, right?
01:20You can do that.
01:21So if that's something that any of these players that aren't familiar
01:24with New England are worried about,
01:25I don't think they need to be worried about that at all.
01:27And just the nature of the NFL.
01:29Bad teams can become good teams overnight.
01:31You know, it happens all the time.
01:33You could point to a million examples.
01:34You could point to Washington this year, Houston last year,
01:38like on down the line and be like,
01:40Hey, we could be that.
01:41Why can't we be that?
01:42We have a coach that knows what he's doing.
01:44We have a quarterback who is at least arrow pointing up.
01:49So yesterday when we did our top 10s,
01:51we didn't have him starting the year in the top 10,
01:52but it doesn't mean he can't jump into that conversation at some point.
01:56They at least know who their guy is,
01:58which is a leg up on 10 other teams.
02:00No, for sure.
02:01So I think Vrabel is a good one.
02:03I think selling a player on their role is always a big one.
02:06And I think Drake may.
02:07I mean, you hope guys want to play with Drake.
