00:17There is no effect seen by President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. in running the economy

00:22amidst the increasing attention of the impeachment courts

00:25in the cases faced by Vice President Sara Duterte.

00:28According to President Ferdinand R. Marcos, they will remain focused on plans that are related

00:33to the continued expansion of the country's ascent.

00:37As long as the plan on investment and strategies used by the Chief Executive is not seen

00:44as having a negative impact on the Vice President,

00:50this is also where the leaders are looking, so they doubt that the impeachment trial will have a negative effect

00:56and that it will not be avoided.

00:59This is after the impeachment in the House of Representatives

01:02and it has been announced to the Senate that the impeachment court will be held.

01:06As long as our plans and strategies on investment,

01:14on new structural changes that I always talk about,

01:21that is what the investors are looking at.

01:33In his first statement, he said that the impeachment complaint against Duterte

01:46is just a part of the Congressmen's duty.

01:50He cannot call it defiance of the Congressmen's efforts,

01:54because the lawmakers only approved the impeachment complaints.

02:01It's not defiance, it's their belief.

02:04It's in their belief that this must be done.

02:07Even though I told them not to do it,

02:09they said, no, we cannot pass this.

02:12That's their thinking.

02:13So they continued.

02:14And I don't view that as defiance.

02:17And now, the hearing of the cases filed against the Vice President is expected.

02:22The President also denied that he became an ally

02:25in the ongoing impeachment case against Duterte.

02:29VP Sara is facing accusations of culpable violation of the Constitution,

02:34bribery, graft and corruption, betrayal of public trust,

02:38and other high crimes,

02:40including the misuse of confidential funds,

02:43at a time when it is still in its infancy.
