00:00President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. insisted that he has no role in filing an impeachment complaint against Vice President Sara Duterte.

00:10President Marcos doesn't see that it can affect the momentum of the economy. Here is the first.

00:22Did President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. have no role in impeaching Vice President Sara Duterte?

00:28No, the executive cannot have a hand in the impeachment. There is no role of the executive in the impeachment. I do not give guidance to Congress. We are independent of each other.

00:38The second president was impeached after the 215 lawmakers signed the 4th impeachment complaint.

00:46The president was the first to talk to Congress to avoid filing an impeachment complaint against Vice President Duterte.

00:53But the presidential sign was the first on the list to be signed by Ilocos Norte First District Representative Sandro Marcos,

01:00while the last signatory was the cousin of the President, House Speaker Martin Romualdez.

01:07Once it has been filed, there is a procedure that needs to be followed already.

01:12I told Sandro that the process has already begun. It's your duty now to support that process.

01:23So do your duty. That's what I told him. Do your duty. You have to support the process.

01:29You are constitutionally mandated to carry out that process. I didn't know you'd be the first to sign.

01:35The ball is now in the Senate that he will sign the impeachment court.

01:39But the session has already been adjourned and will return on June 2 after the election.

01:44Only the President of the Republic of the Philippines has the power to hold a special session.

01:51If the senators ask for it, yes. Again, they will decide.
