00:30to PNP Chief Police General Romel Francisco Marbil according to DILG.

00:35Marbil will use the four-month extension to ensure a peaceful future.

00:40Marbil may also use it to continue his crime prevention and law enforcement initiatives.

00:47DILG said that PNP and their mission is to maintain peace, security, and rule of law.

00:54Marbil was scheduled to retire today, but it was extended until June.

00:59Marbil is the 30th PNP Chief.

01:01He is a member of the Philippine Military Academy's Sambisig Class of 1991.

01:05He retired on April 1 after the retirement of former PNP Chief Police General Benjamin Acorda, Jr.

01:12Meanwhile, Marbil held a ceremony yesterday for the promotion of more than 33,000 members of the PNP.

01:20Of the said number, more than 1,000 are from the PNP National Headquarters.

01:25This is part of the regular promotion of the PNP for the calendar year 2024.

01:30In his message, Marbil said that their promotion is not just a symbol of increased ranks and insignia.
