00:00Thousands of runners participated in the first ever Pokemon Run in the country

00:04which was held this Sunday at the Mall of Asia Complex in Pase City.

00:07My teammate, Bernadette Inoy, will give you a sneak peek.

00:12It's still early in the morning, but Nazarene is already excited for Dino

00:16who participated in the first ever Pokemon Run this morning at the Mall of Asia Complex.

00:21She's still a kid, but she's already a fan of Pikachu,

00:24that's why she kept participating in the so-called Fun Run.

00:27Nazarene was among the 10,000 runners who took pictures,

00:31had fun, and ran in the 10-kilometer run, 5-kilometer, 3-kilometer, and 1-kilometer run.

00:38It's really fun to run with Pokemon fans.

00:43I also saw Pikachu running, so it's really cute.

00:45Actually, I came here early because I was with the runners.

00:51Now, I think I'm already 10.

00:53It's a bit late, but I have time to rest for the run.

00:57I think I woke up at 4 a.m. because the call time is 4.30 a.m.

01:01So, I did a bit of stretching at the hotel, and now I'm here.

01:06According to Rio de la Cruz, the main organizer of the Pokemon Run,

01:09more than 50% of the participants are new runners.

01:13She also proves that the Filipinos really care about the run events in the country.

01:17On the other hand, Rio also ensures that the safety of the runners is safe.

01:23And I think the most important thing is that all the runners enjoyed it.

01:27Actually, they stayed.

01:28It's very rare that the majority of our participants stay during the awarding.

01:33And I think that gives us more motivation to create more amazing races for them.

01:40Because the Pokemon Run was a successful launch,

01:43Rio also confirmed that she will not be able to keep up with the said fun runs in the coming years.

01:49We are attracting different people, or runners, to have a healthy lifestyle.

01:53So, through this race, it's a good start for them to have a good experience.

01:59So, we're hoping that they will do it again.

02:01Not necessarily for this race, but for other races.

02:04Because one of our objectives is to inspire them and motivate them to have a healthy lifestyle.
