00:00Last year, several runners were recognized in the 2024 Trilogy Run Asia Awards last night in Mandaluyong City.

00:09This is Bernadette Pinoy of PTV Sports.

00:16Again, the Pinoy and Pinay runners are together this year, but not on the long-distance road where they were running,

00:23but in the 2024 Trilogy Run Asia Awards held last night in Mandaluyong City.

00:29Led by RunRio's CEO and founder, Rio de la Cruz, the finishers from different parts of the country participated in the Run Series.

00:38They deserved to be recognized because they brought inspiration to the public for a healthy lifestyle.

00:46Surprisingly, a lot of runners from provinces came to get their awards.

00:52All the finishers, who finished 1, 2, 3, and the National Finals, received medals.

00:59Those who didn't make it here will still receive medals.

01:02It's a big help or reason why they were successful because of our partners and also our LGU.

01:11Before, their support was small, but now it's really big.

01:17They allow us to cross the road, provide manpower to make sure the safety of our participants.

01:25So, very happy, very happy.

01:27One of the major awardees of the night is the Filipino champ, Maricar Camacho.

01:31Maricar was recognized as the fastest female overall and age group champion 35 to 40 category

01:38because she missed the tournament.

01:40I hope that the next time, especially if I'm not the first in the overall, I will be the 4th.

01:48I'm just asking.

01:49Everything that my coach says, I follow.

01:53You can't follow. If you want to be strong, follow your coach.

01:57Meanwhile, Rio also gave advice to the Filipino runners who want to try the full marathon in 2025.

02:04We have a lot of surprises and I hope to those who are planning to run their first 42K,

02:12I invite you to our Trilogy Run Asia, one of the best series in the Philippines.
