00:05The Philippine Animal Welfare Society, or POS, has prepared an event

00:10for the pet lovers out there.

00:18It's Valentine's Day in just a few days.

00:20I'm sure a lot of people are looking for their dating place.

00:26The Philippine Animal Welfare Society, or POS,

00:29has prepared an event for those who want to celebrate the day of hearts with their pets.

00:34The first date is our Valentine's fundraiser for POS.

00:39We thought of it in POS that on Valentine's Day,

00:42people are really looking for opportunities to go out.

00:47But it's not for everyone.

00:49Sometimes, some people are sad because they don't have a date.

00:52Others have a date, but they want something different.

00:56Then we thought, it's also good for our animals

01:00because they've been waiting for a long time for someone to visit them.

01:04According to Attorney Ana Cabrera, Executive Director of POS,

01:08it's also an opportunity for singles or lovers

01:12to consider giving up on pets instead of buying them.

01:16It's an online registration that you can sign on for a date.

01:21It's a 30-minute date where you get the chance to bring a particular shelter dog, shelter cat,

01:31with a cookie, a coffee, and then you get the chance to walk the dog also

01:37or to play with a shelter cat.

01:39When POS released the link for the online registration for the activity,

01:44the Saturday slots were already full.

01:47For now, there are still slots left for other days.

01:51This is not the first time POS made a first date.

01:55POS concepted the activity in 2018.

01:58For those looking for a place to go on Valentine's Day,

02:02POS has a plan.

02:04We encourage everyone to date a shelter cat or a shelter dog this Valentine's week.

02:12It's an opportunity for you to see the many animals who are in need of a home,

02:18in need of a second chance.

02:19And if you can give him or her a good home,

02:22I'm sure that they will cherish it much, much more

02:26because pets or dogs and cats will never break your heart.

02:32And they will be loyal and very loving for the rest of their life.
