00:00Updates on the current administration's programs here in Mr. President on the Go.

00:22First, fellow countrymen, our President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. praised the achievements of the Bureau of Customs under his administration

00:32in his speech on the 123rd anniversary of the POC.

00:37Our President noted that the agency's revenue in 2024 reached Php 931 billion.

00:46This is more than Php 40 billion if compared to the year 2023.

00:52According to our President, the collected amount can be used to buy more than 7,500 train cars,

01:0018.6 million laptops, 62 million tablets for students, or more than 7.7 million university scholarships.

01:09Our President also mentioned some of the reforms implemented by the DOC to improve their services,

01:16such as the digitalization of 161 out of 166 customs processes that minimized the chances of corruption,

01:24as well as the existence of an overstaying cargo tracking system, enhanced e-travel system, and ATA car monitoring system.

01:31This is why our President wanted to change the image of the DOC, which has been plagued by corruption and controversy for more than 100 years.

01:41According to him, the DOC's accomplishments serve to prove the changes made by the agency in the present.
