00:26This is the target of the Department of Labor and Employment

00:29along with the 3.1% unemployment rate of December 2024,

00:35which is the lowest since 2005.

00:39In a press briefing in Malacanang, Labor Secretary Bienvenido La Guesma stated

00:44that their target is to use the unemployment rate that is lower than 3.1%.

00:49This is through programs like the Jobs Mismatch,

00:54Job Fairs, and the creation of high-quality jobs.

01:00Filipino workers should be prepared for the hundreds of thousands of jobs

01:04that were created through investments that President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. got from his foreign trips.

01:11When asked about the jobs that will be created during the election and campaign,

01:16Dole said that they are more focused on long-term jobs

01:22and not just temporary ones.

01:25According to NEDA Undersecretary Rosemary Edilion,

01:28the government will continue to promote pioneering strategies

01:32such as inclusive working arrangements.

01:36Meanwhile, Dole is also monitoring the emergence of jobs

01:40that use artificial intelligence or AI to spread misinformation and disinformation.
