00:00I believe in having a firm and fair immigration system and where people
00:03don't have a right to be in that in this country that they are removed. We have
00:07seen big increases and the number of deportations of those who have no right
00:10to be in this country. We've deported more foreign national offenders and
00:13we're taking more enforcement action and I think it is right the public see that
00:17action and understand how seriously this government takes the need to enforce
00:21immigration rules fairly and effectively. This is about demonstrating to the
00:25British people that we as a government take seriously the need to uphold rules
00:29that are put in place for good reason around immigration and people who don't
00:32have a right to be here will face action that's why we've increased the number of
00:36enforcement activity that's been going on while we have taken action to get
00:40more flights off the ground and to deport foreign national offenders
00:43alongside that. I think that is right and necessary and a common-sense approach to
00:47making sure that rules are followed and upheld.
