The recent arrests of several Customs officers linked to a vape smuggling syndicate should serve as a lesson and reminder for the civil service to uphold integrity, says Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

In a speech delivered by Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof at the 43rd World Customs Day celebration on Monday (Feb 10), Anwar emphasised that Putrajaya will take firm action against corruption and abuse of power.

He also commended the department for achieving a record post-pandemic revenue collection of RM65.57bil last year.
