Gulf News gets fast and furious at the extreme sports and custom car show in Abu Dhabi.
Transcript
00:30We're at the end of day two, a little bit tired, but we've had thousands of people come
00:33through.
00:34We've had amazing demonstrations from Team Orange, we've done loads of activities, people
00:38have come down, had a good time, tried some sports, looked at the best cars around and
00:43just had a great time.
00:44We've got the Vans Pro Skateboarding Team, a couple of the guys have come over from Europe,
00:49from the US, and some big names in there, Thomas Vinter, Johnny Layden.
00:52But it's been as much about the people who have brought their own cars along, driven
00:55down from Qatar, or from as short a distance as Dubai or Sharjah, these guys have come
01:01down showing how much time and care they put into their cars, and the top 100 at Barbican
01:08Turbo has just been incredible.
01:11We've come down here with a couple of our cars to show people what custom cars in the
01:20Volkswagen world is all about, and really excited to meet other people that have the
01:24same passion and the same excitement in loving and driving their cars.
01:35The Team Orange is one of the most successful drifting teams in the world, we've done lots
01:42of competition, Kumakubo himself, he won the World Championship, and also we did the Fast
01:48and Furious Tokyo Drift as a stunt driver, because the actors, they are good, they are
01:53okay, they can drive the car, but we can drive better, so that's why we did it.
01:58This is the first time we are here in this region, actually in the Middle East, because
02:03I have a very, very good response from the many people in the last two days, so hopefully
02:09I will come back next year.
