00:00I am a great supporter of the importance of the collaboration between the university and the companies in absolute and above all of the university as a place that develops the sensitivity in young people, in addition to creating opportunities for young people in relationships with the company.
00:20As far as the doctor is concerned, the discussion is very varied, in the sense that it starts from the inseparability of the aspects related to teaching, research and assistance,
00:32so they really make the relationship between a university and the institutes of care, above all of scientific value, decisive and really essential for the success that a faculty in training young people can have.
00:50In general, I can give an example for everyone, think that despite the 660 years of the University of Pavia, with the Faculty of Medicine as the first, there has never been a real campus dedicated to students.
01:04Why? Because they have always been in places connected to the institutes of care.
01:10Now, we, in this sense, with the technologies, with a dedicated campus, with a virtual hospital, tried to look ahead, so it is a step beyond and we created two years ago a real campus for students.
01:23This does not mean that the integration with the institutes of care is crucial, but it goes beyond, and I am also convinced that perhaps it intercepts even more the question you asked me, the fact that universities, with the IRCS, must also do much more to bring the world of companies and companies around them closer.
01:41I can give an example for everyone, in a city like Pavia, it is quite absurd that biotechnological companies do not come to try to get closer to us, to try to take everything that can be from the institutes of care.
01:53So, on the one hand, we have to make them understand why they do not come, on the other hand, to be available to do it, because it is a further step of great importance for the territory, for the institutions, but also for young people, sooner or later.
