00:11The UAE will host the first chunk of the Indian Premier League cricket matches from next month,
00:16according to official sources. The business end of the 2020 league will then move to India,
00:21following a decision made by the Board of Control for Cricket in India.
00:25More than four days after a Malaysian jetliner went missing en route to Beijing, authorities
00:30acknowledged today they didn't know which direction the plane carrying 239 passengers
00:35was heading when it disappeared. Meanwhile, the Malaysian ambassador to China said during
00:39a meeting with Chinese relatives of missing passengers, the last radio transmission from
00:43the cockpit of the flight was, all right, good night.
00:47Moderate to heavy rain is expected to hit the UAE from Thursday. The UAE Met Office
00:52said the five-day spell of unstable weather is also expected to bring along dusty wind.
00:57The weather condition is expected to start changing from today due to the influence
01:00of a surface trough coming in from the Red Sea.
01:04Iranian President Hassan Rouhani is in Muscat today for a two-day visit, in which he will
01:09discuss with the man's leader bilateral cooperation and regional tensions. It will be Rouhani's
01:14first visit to a Gulf Arab state since his election last year.
01:18Libya's Prime Minister Ali Zeidan was ousted by Parliament yesterday after a tanker laden
01:23with crude oil from a rebel-held terminal broke through a naval blockade and escaped
01:27to sea. A no-confidence motion was approved by 124 of the 194 members of the General National
01:35Congress.
01:36And the Abu Dhabi Film Commission and Universal Pictures have today confirmed the filming
01:40for Fast and Furious 7 will take place in Abu Dhabi beginning this April. The film stars
01:45Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson and Chris Ludacris. Bridges will land in Abu
01:51Dhabi next month to continue production.
01:54And finally, the weather. Today's high across the UAE will be 34 degrees Celsius, dropping
01:58to 23 tonight.
