00:00And if you'd like to say a few words, and thank you very much.
00:03Mr. President, thank you very much for having us.
00:05And so short after your inauguration,
00:07I think just as a testament to what you said
00:10is a special relationship between our two countries
00:12and the personal relationship of friendship and trust
00:16between the two of us.
00:17Mr. President, I truly believe that with all the challenges
00:20that we have in the Middle East, that I finally see somebody
00:24that can take us across the finish line
00:25to bring stability, peace, and prosperity
00:29to all of us in the region.
00:30And it is, I think, our collective responsibility
00:33in the Middle East to continue to work with you,
00:35to support you, to achieve those lofty goals.
00:37So I'm very delighted to be here.
00:39And as you said, sir, we've got some very interesting
00:41discussions ahead of us.
00:42Very good.
00:42Very good.
00:43Thank you.
00:44Will you give His Majesty the King guarantee
00:47that you won't allow Israel to annex with Spain?
00:49And how are you going to force this?
00:51I think that's going to work out very well.
00:52That's not really what we're talking about today.
00:54I think that's something that's going to work out
00:56automatically, and it's in good shape.
01:00And we discuss it.
01:02Other people have discussed it with us and with me.
01:05That's going to work out.
01:06West Bank is going to work out very well.
01:09We have to keep in mind that there is a plan from Egypt
01:12and the Arab countries.
01:13We're being invited by Mohammed bin Salman
01:15to discussions in Riyadh.
01:17I think the point is, is how to make this work in a way
01:19that is good for everybody.
01:22Obviously, we have to look at the best interests
01:25of the United States, of the people in the region,
01:27especially to my people of Jordan.
01:29And we're going to have some interesting discussions today.
01:31I think one of the things that we can do right away
01:35is take 2,000 children that are either cancer children
01:39or in a very ill state to Jordan as quickly as possible,
01:44and then wait for, I think, the Egyptians to present
01:46their plan on how we can work with the President
01:49to work on the Gaza challenges.
01:52I want to tell you this.
01:54Excuse me, wait.
01:55Just please.
01:57I didn't know that, what you just said,
01:582,000 children with cancer or other problems.
02:02And that's really a beautiful gesture.
02:06That's really good, and we appreciate it.
02:08And we'll be working on the rest.
02:10With Egypt, I think you're going to see some great progress.
02:15I think with Jordan, you're going to see
02:16some great progress.
02:18Three of us, and we'll have some others helping.
02:20We're going to have some others at a very high level helping.
02:23And the whole thing will come.
02:24It's not a complex thing to do.
02:26And with the United States being in control
02:28of that piece of land, a fairly large piece of land,
02:32you're going to have stability in the Middle East
02:34for the first time.
02:36And the Palestinians, or the people that live now in Gaza,
02:40will be living beautifully in another location.
02:42They're going to be living safely.
02:44They're not going to be killed, murdered,
02:46and having to leave every 10 years.
02:48Because I've been watching this for so many years.
02:51It's nothing but trouble.
02:52The Press.
02:53Will there be repercussions or anything that happens?
02:55We don't think that's going to happen.
02:57We think it's going to — we think people
02:58are going to be very happy, thrilled.
02:59A lot of those people.
03:01And I know we'll be able to work something.
03:04And what you just said about the 2000 is fantastic.
03:08It's so beautiful.
03:09It's music to my ears.
03:11But we're going to be able to work something,
03:13and I know we'll be able to work something also with —
03:17I believe, not 100 percent, but 99 percent,
03:21we're going to work out something with Egypt.
03:23The Press.
03:25Mr. President, in the region, especially Jordan,
03:26I'm worried about the annexation of the West Bank.
03:28Will you give this majesty the opportunity?
03:31We're not going to buy anything. We're going to have it.
03:33And we're going to keep it, and we're going to make sure
03:34that there's going to be peace,
03:36and there's not going to be any problem,
03:38and nobody is going to question it.
03:40And we're going to run it very properly.
03:43And eventually, we'll have economic development
03:46at a very large scale,
03:47maybe the largest scale on that site.
03:50And we'll have lots of good things built there,
03:52including hotels and office buildings
03:54and housing and other things.
03:57Just briefly, I think maybe you want to say it now, or —
04:01Well —
04:02And, you know, I have a Saturday deadline,
04:04and I don't think they're going to make the deadline personally.
04:07I think they want to play tough guy,
04:11but we'll see how tough they are.
04:13But it's going to be a wonderful thing.
04:15It's going to be wonderful for the Middle East.
04:17I think it'll turn the Middle East.
04:18I think you're going to have peace in the Middle East.
04:20You're going to eventually have peace in the Middle East.
04:22No, please.
04:24Couldn't this deadline risk undermining the talks
04:27that you're having with the king today,
04:30risk the kind of wider peace that you're trying to —
04:33Because that's not — we're not talking about a big situation.
04:36We're talking about something that can go very quickly.
04:39We're talking about — it's going to go quickly.
04:40It's not going to take a long time, okay?
04:43That's not going to take a long time.
04:44You know — from Egypt and the Arab countries.
04:47We're being invited by Mohammed bin Salman
04:48to discussions in Riyadh. I think the —
04:50All right, go ahead.
04:52Mr. President, you were saying that Palestinians
04:54will live somewhere else safe.
04:56Where exactly do you want them to live?
04:59Well, it's not where I want them to live.
05:00It's going to be where we ultimately choose as a group.
05:04And I believe we'll have a parcel of land in Jordan.
05:08I believe we'll have a parcel of land in Egypt.
05:11We may have someplace else.
05:13But I think when we finish our talks,
05:16we'll have a place where they're going to live
05:18very happily and very safely.
05:20And, you know, I want to tell you that's the future.
05:23Excuse me, wait. Just please.
05:26I didn't know that.
05:27Mr. President, how do you know that the Palestinians
05:29don't want to leave their land?
05:31Some people say this is ethnic cleansing.
05:33You won't be able to force them to leave their land.
05:35They're still in there.
05:36We're moving them to a beautiful location
05:39where they have new homes, where they can live safely,
05:42where they'll have doctors and medical
05:45and all of those things.
05:46And I think it's going to be great.
05:48Yeah, any questions?
05:49King Abdullah, what do you think about the U.S.
05:50taking over the Gaza Strip?
05:52Do you want to see the U.S. own the Gaza Strip?
05:54Well, I think, as I said earlier,
05:56the President is looking at Egypt
05:58coming to present their plan.
06:00As I said, we will be in Saudi Arabia
06:02to discuss how we can work with the President
06:05and with the United States.
06:07So I think let's wait until the Egyptians can come
06:10and present it to the President and not get ahead of ourselves.
06:13And is there a parcel of land, Jordan,
06:14that you're willing to have Palestinians own?
06:15Well, I think what we said,
06:17I have to look at the best interests of my country.
06:19I think the President is very happy that we do this thing
06:22with 2,000 children as quickly as possible.
06:26I think they want time because I think the people
06:29that they have living are in such bad shape
06:31because they're sending the most healthy people out
06:35because they don't want to send the least healthy people out.
06:38And there was an uproar when they saw
06:39the people from yesterday.
06:42So these people are...
06:44So I don't want to do two,
06:45and then we do another two in another week,
06:47and then we do four in three weeks.
06:49No, no.
06:51They either have them out by Saturday at 12 o'clock
06:54or all bets are off.
06:57Mr. President, do you think it could be a diamond,
06:59it could be an absolute tremendous asset
07:02for the Middle East?
07:04No, I think we'll do something.
07:05I don't have to threaten with money.
07:07We do.
07:07We contribute a lot of money to Jordan and to Egypt,
07:11by the way, a lot, to both.
07:13But I don't have to threaten that.
07:15I don't think... I think we're above that.
07:17I do believe we're above that.
07:20The Palestinians or the people that live now in Gaza
07:23will be living beautifully in another...
07:25President, you said before that the U.S.
07:27would buy Gaza, and today you just said
07:30we're not going to buy Gaza.
07:31We're not going to have to buy.
07:32We're going to have Gaza.
07:34We don't have to buy.
07:35There's nothing to buy.
07:37We will have Gaza.
07:39What does that mean?
07:39No reason to buy.
07:41There is nothing to buy.
07:42It's Gaza.
07:43It's a war-torn area.
07:45We're going to take it.
07:46We're going to hold it.
07:47We're going to cherish it.
07:49And, Mr. President, take it under what authority?
07:50It is sovereign territory.
07:51Under the U.S. authority.
07:53And, Mr. President, would you seek to personally develop
07:55property in Gaza after this happens?
07:57No. No.
07:58I've had a great career in real estate.
08:00Mr. President, what will your team...
08:02You know, when you've done what I've done
08:03in the last number of years,
08:06including the four years that we should have been doing
08:09something else, frankly,
08:10because people see that now, for sure.
08:13But when you've done what I've done,
08:17you can just do more good for people when you're President.
08:20Thank you.
08:21Come on, guys, quickly.
08:22Thank you. Thank you all for moving.
08:24Come on, quickly.
08:26Thank you. Thanks, guys.
