00:30A key section of the Syrian opposition will decide today on whether to participate in
00:34the Geneva peace talks. UN Syria envoy Staffan de Mistura's office said it had invited all
00:39stakeholders to the talks scheduled to begin on Friday, but refused to say who had been
00:43invited to represent Bashar al-Assad and the Syrian opposition.
00:47Business and volatility in the oil markets continued with a rally in prices overnight
00:52followed by a slump this morning. The price of Brent crude stood at $31.46 per barrel
00:57while outside China global markets were up despite the oil volatility.
