00:06Here are the top stories at this hour.
00:10Solar Impulse 2 made history early this morning, successfully completing the first fuel-free
00:16flight around the world when it touched down at Al-Bateen Airport in Abu Dhabi.
00:21The solar-powered aircraft's epic 16-month voyage began from Abu Dhabi on March 9, 2015,
00:28spanning about 40,000 km and nearly 500 hours of flying time.
00:34Bertrand Piccard and André Bortschberg, the Swiss founders of the project, took turns
00:40piloting the aircraft, which has a wingspan larger than a Boeing 747 but weighs no more
00:46than an average family car.
00:49A knife-wielding man broke into a facility for the disabled in a small town near Tokyo
00:54early today and killed 19 patients as they slept.
00:59Authorities said the attack was Japan's worst mass killing in decades.
01:04The suspect was a 26-year-old former employee of the facility who gave himself up to the
01:09police.
01:11Democratic power players Michelle Obama and Bernie Sanders offered contrasting endorsements
01:16of Hillary Clinton last night.

01:33declining for the first time in three years.
01:36According to a report issued by JLL, the downward trend in Abu Dhabi is supported by lower government
01:42spending and weak investment sentiment.
01:46Yahoo Inc. has agreed to sell its main web businesses to Verizon Communications Inc.
01:51for $4.8 billion.
01:54The deal ends a two-decade run as an independent company that took it from a Stanford University
01:59startup to also ran behind nimbler rivals such as Google and Facebook.
02:05And finally, the weather.
02:07Today's high across the UAE will be 45 degrees Celsius, dropping to 32 degrees at night.
