00:00I have not gone anywhere from the map. I am very much there. You know, last year I did
00:13this film and I did Deepa, not Deepa, this British film, Gurinder Chaddha's film called
00:25Vaisraya House. I don't know. I keep asking myself. I don't want to pass a harsh judgment,
00:38anything like that. But I still keep thinking that when Gandhiji was thrown out of the train,
00:46having a proper ticket, that kind of humiliation he inhaled and he felt that this is very very
01:01unjust and unfair. Should I fight it only for myself? There are a lot of others who
01:10are being humiliated every day throughout here in South Africa and in India. What can
01:20be done? That curiosity in him became so intense that he came up with this idea that non-violence
01:33is the only method we can tackle them. People used to throng to listen to him and they were
01:42so impressed by his views that they went back to their villages becoming small small Gandhis
01:51and they started spreading that message. So that is how Gandhiji reached throughout the
01:56country. And a lot of his strategies were very effective. Like he realized how do we
02:04hit their economy? He said don't wear, burn foreign clothes.
02:09Which is very effective you think? Yes, of course. We will make our own clothes.
02:17And Satyagraha, that salt dandy march, that was another move because we were being taxed on salt.
02:28And he said this is our salt. The sea is ours. This water is ours.
02:34Not for us. No, I'm not. I take it in a strike. It is the
02:45makers who want to play safe that Mr. Bachchan is in the film, Ajay Devgn is in the film,
02:52so and so is in the film, so the film will make money.
02:54So it's all economics. Yes, economics.
