00:09His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister
00:13of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has approved the executive regulations of Federal Law No.
00:198 of 2017 on the value-added tax.
00:22The bylaws govern the implementation of WACT, which will come into effect from January 2018.
00:28The regulations define WACT as the 5% tax imposed on the import and supply of goods
00:33and services at each state of production and distribution, including what is a deemed supply,
00:40with the exception of specific supplies subject to the zero rate and what is exempted as specified
00:45in the law.
00:46Passengers of all nationalities can get a 96-hour transit visa upon arrival at Abu Dhabi
00:51International Airport.
00:53A dedicated visa counter has been opened at the airport to facilitate the visa application
00:58process and grant visas to arriving passengers within 15-30 minutes.
01:03The counter is located at Terminal 3 transit area in the airport.
