00:09Heavy fog continued to cover parts of the UAE today, reducing visibility and resulting
00:15in several flight delays and diversions. At least 177 flights were delayed and 24 cancelled

00:28In Abu Dhabi and Sharjah, a total of 33 flights were either delayed or cancelled. Satellite
00:35images showed almost two-thirds of the country covered in thick fog from Ras Al Khaimah and
00:41Fujairah down to Al Ain and stretching towards Dubai. Today's high across the UAE will be
00:4726 degrees Celsius, dropping to 18 degrees at night.
00:50Philippine firefighters recovered one body from a burning shopping mall today and there
00:56were zero chances of survival for 36 other trapped people inside. Mayor Sara Duterte
01:02Carpio said firefighters told relatives of the trapped employees at the NCC mall that
01:08nobody could survive the extreme heat and smoke.
01:12The top leadership of the Miss America organization has resigned. The sweep house officials implicated
01:20in an email scandal that targeted past pageant winners for abuse based on their appearance,
01:26intellect and sex lives. CEO Sam Haskell resigned from the Atlantic City-based organization
01:34on Saturday, a day after he was suspended by the board. The organization announced the
01:40resignations a day after dozens of former Miss Americas signed a petition calling on
01:45the group's leadership to step down.
