00:00President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. attended the first meeting of the League of Municipalities of the Philippines.

00:07The President reminded the candidates for the local position the true purpose of public service.

00:15President Marcos Jr. also assured the continued assistance of the local government to provide proper service.

00:30When it comes to elections, according to President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., the hottest battle is between the local government and the barangay.

00:40The hottest election is fought by the local government.

00:45As a matter of fact, I think, you may agree with me, mayors, you can see this, the hottest election is the barangay.

00:53That's the reason why everyone knows each other, everyone knows each other, that's why it's personal.

01:01Before the 28th of March, or the start of the campaign for the candidates in the provinces, cities, and barangays,

01:11President Marcos reminded,

01:13in the heat of the campaign, in the heat of the election, let's not forget that we are here, we entered the service of the public to help the people.

01:29More than 1,006 mayors in cities and municipalities will participate in the upcoming midterm election.

01:38Before the termination of the candidates, President Marcos said in the first year of the League of Municipalities of the Philippines.

01:56If your answer is yes, we know that we have fulfilled our duty.

02:01And whatever path you choose after this, whether you seek another mandate or move on to a new chapter in your lives,

02:14President Marcos assured the continued assistance of local governments to provide proper and quality public service.

02:25Including the implementation of the electronic business one-stop shop.

02:29Last year, more than 100 LGUs followed E-Boss.

02:34Automation of their transactions started at P1,000 and P2,000.

02:39The new electronic procurement system will be implemented and the products and services purchased by the public

02:46will not only speed up the process, but will also help fight corruption.

02:52We need to use the best technology to provide the best service to the people.
