00:00Our fellow citizens of Cebu, the new Computer-Based Licensure Exam Center of the Professional Regulation Commission, or PRC, has been opened in Cebu City.
00:09It is part of the government's plan to improve the modernization of the licensure examination process in the country.
00:17This is Jesse Atienza of PTV Cebu for Detalye.
00:20The new Testing Center of the Professional Regulation Commission in Central Visayas has been formally opened.
00:31It will house almost 300 laptop units for the Computer-Based Licensure Exam.
00:37Cheating will happen because the proctor has a CCTV to monitor the examinees.
00:44According to the PRC, it is part of the digital transformation to speed up the process of exam results.
00:51We're glad that we have this new testing center in Cebu, one of the best civilian testing centers nationwide.
01:02But we have more to come. We still have 8 more.
01:04So we're making this accessible to all our examinees, not just access to testing centers, but access to technology.
01:13The new testing center is located near the city of Cebu, so it is also accessible to examinees in other parts of Visayas.
01:21The target is to accommodate the smaller volume of licensure examinations by the PRC Region 7.
01:29Meantime, we are still in the small examinations.
01:34We haven't reached that yet, but the commission already planned to expand the number of examinees, the capacity of every testing center.
01:46You won't hear about CPA, the usual professionals, because those are big examiners.
01:53But later or soon, we will be mitigating to that and we will go to that area.
02:01According to the PRC, 8 more computer-based licensure examination centers will be added in different parts of the country.
