00:13there has been a 40% increase in the number of applicants for motorcycle driving
00:18licenses in the second quarter this year in comparison to the same period last year.
00:23Delivery companies are hiring more riders.
00:26Toon Gissels, the Chief Operating Officer of Talabat, told Gulf News that they are continuing to
00:33significantly increase their rider numbers in all markets. Based on reports, there were
00:38244 motorbike collisions in 2019 in comparison to
00:44189 in
00:452018. This is a 29% increase in accidents. These numbers tell us some important findings.
00:5250% of all accidents involving riders are not their fault.
00:56Let us also note that there is very little metal around them to protect them.
