00:00Hi guys, I'm Aditya Roy Kapoor.
00:02Hi, I'm Sanjana Sanghi.
00:04Hi, I'm Kapil Verma.
00:05And here's wishing Eid Mubarak to all of Gulf News' readers.
00:10Why should we watch this movie?
00:13I mean there could be multiple reasons.
00:15If I had to bring it down to one thing,
00:17our endeavour has been to make a complete picture
00:22while what you see on the surface is action and testosterone and much is more.
00:29What I think the film has is a lot of heart, a lot of emotion.
00:32It's a human drama story about family and lots more.
00:38So the icing on the cake,
00:42but at the core of it and what got me excited about the film when I first heard it
00:45was the emotionality that this film has and the story.
00:49I think all of that but also just the fact that
00:53it's truly an edge of the seat visual spectacle.
00:58I mean if I can say so myself.
01:00You know sometimes you're making something and while you're on set
01:03you don't realise what it's looking like.
01:06But when I went into the dub and saw some footage,
01:09I was really, really, really happy.
01:13So for that reason, yeah.
01:15I think the story of the film and it has lots to offer.
01:20A lot of action, fantastic songs and most important again,
01:24it's a family drama.
01:26And again, that excited me when I heard it.
01:30So yeah, all this is a great combination
01:33and you have a great entertaining film.
01:36I think that was my first fantasy.
01:39When I was a young boy, I was an action movie fanatic.
01:42And I've been joking that my dream was never to become an actor.
01:48As a kid, I want to do that stuff in real life.
01:50I want to have the gun and go out there and beat up the bad guys.
01:53Like a lot of young boys.
01:56So yes, it was.
01:57And I think it's been a long time coming.
01:59I'm happy I got the chance.
02:01I think it's easy when it's on the page
02:05and it feels like it's been well written.
02:08When something is well written,
02:09you don't really have to push yourself to try and emote it.
02:12You don't have to push yourself to cry or to be angry or to be happy.
02:16As an actor, that's all you can ask for.
02:18And I think that's why we were gifted with a film that had it all on the page.
02:22So it wasn't something I had to manufacture out of thin air.
02:26It was something that felt right for the character.
02:28I think patriotism is one of the very strong themes of the film.
02:33He is kind of trying to protect the country.
02:37But I think when you watch the film,
02:39you realise that that's not the only pillar or foundation on which the film rests.
02:43There's a lot of other conflict that's driving the hero.
02:48And it's a kind of decision between what he has to choose between.
02:52So it's kind of interesting.
02:54The film doesn't rest only on that emotion.
02:57That's what I really do wish to do for the rest of my journey.
03:04Because I feel like when people who are putting together a special story
03:10really have the vision to see something in you that you haven't in yourself.
03:16I'd never imagined that I could do action.
03:19But Kapil and Hemant sir had the faith that I could do this.
03:23And that's all we need as actors.
03:25We need someone to believe in us.
03:27We need someone to push us.
03:29And it happened to me so early on in my career.
03:31So it's been special.
03:33I don't think anyone knows what works.
03:35I think that's a law of the film industry.
03:40And if anyone claims to know what works, then they're right.
03:43You don't know. I think the audiences taste keep changing.
03:46And the second you think this works, they move forward.
03:49So you don't want to be behind the eight ball in that way.
03:53You want to try and give them what they didn't know they wanted.
03:57I mean it was tough.
03:59Because it wasn't just the body building, it was also learning action.
04:02Since it's something I'd never done before.
04:04So it was kind of my most physically gruelling film.
04:07But like I said, I signed up for it.
04:09And it's something that this film needed.
04:11And this character needed.
04:13But yeah, it was rewarding.
04:15It's rewarding when you see yourself up there on the big screen.
04:17And you're doing all those things.
04:19Do you feel like a different person?
04:21It is a different feeling.
04:23It is a different feeling when you're in an action film.
04:26And you look larger than life and stuff like that.
04:29I would say yeah, it is a different feeling.
