00:00I would advise every Emirati to need to follow their passion,
00:04but you can't say passion and go and dream and do your passion.
00:09You need to have that skills, that experience.
00:12You need to work so hard.
00:17I work for Dubai Health Authority as a Director of Investment
00:21and Public-Private Partnership.
00:24So I'm an Emirati born in Dubai.
00:27I traveled to Dublin in 1992 to study medicine
00:34at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland.
00:37I graduated in 1999 and I came to Dubai and I did my internship.
00:42During my stay in Dubai, basically I did my board exam
00:50and I obtained my family medicine as a specialist
00:53and as well because I was working at Dubai International Airport
00:58at one stage of my career.
01:00I studied aviation medicine and I got my certificate in aviation medicine
01:07from Monash University in Melbourne.
01:10I attended leadership program of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Barashid program
01:15and for young leader.
01:17That was in 2009.
01:20I worked in various healthcare field from government entities
01:25until private entities,
01:28as well as I worked at the Prime Minister office at one of the stage.
01:34I have almost like 22 years of experience.
01:3710 years of my previous experience,
01:40I had a pure kind of like hands-on patients.
01:43I was looking after my patients between hospitals and the clinics.
01:47When I did my master degree in health management in 2007
01:51from Royal College of Surgeons,
01:54I shifted to more into administration and leadership position.
01:58I always looked at Her Royal Highness Sheikh Fatima bint Mubarak
02:04as a pure icon for a woman.
02:10She has empowered, she led a lot of different positions
02:15and she encouraged women to be in different sectors,
02:19including military, healthcare, education.
02:22And of course, that's because of the vision
02:25of our late father Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan
02:28who empowered women in every single step.
02:31Even when we were as a student in Dublin,
02:34whenever he visited UK,
02:37he always used to ask about his children,
02:43I would say girls and boys who studied in Dublin.
02:47And of course, everywhere in the part of the world
02:50where he knew that there are people are seeking education
02:57to come back to feed this country with positive energy
03:02as well as with lots of different passion, innovations, ideas
03:08to improve the whole infrastructure and system.
03:10From my experience, life is not easy.
03:14So there's a lot of challenges.
03:17I would say like, you know, there's an up and down.
03:21And of course, I would advise every Emirati
03:25to need to follow their passion.
03:27But you can't say passion and go and dream and do your passion.
03:32You need to have that skills, that experience.
03:35You need to work so hard
03:38just for the sake of reaching your goal or your target
03:42that you're aiming to reach to it and to shape your career.
03:46It wasn't an easy journey.
03:48There's a lot of challenges.
03:50And of course, with such a lifestyle,
03:54such challenge among our each every single steps,
03:59we need to look at it.
04:00We need to study it.
04:01And then you plan how you want to reach to that target or goal.
04:06So this is what I always advise every single Emirati.
04:10So saying that it's not a straightforward,
04:13it's every single steps you need to take it
04:16and you need to learn from that.
