Alan Knight with an update on his cancer battle
Transcript
00:00It's awesome to sit here with Alan Knight, the legend. So, Knight, how are you at the moment with your treatment?
00:06Yeah, I finished my chemo last Tuesday. That was six sessions every three weeks, so a bit of a relief to get that one done.
00:19Now I've got a couple of weeks respite from that before doing 20 sessions over four weeks with radiotherapy.
00:31So, again, once that gets done, I'm looking for getting all the results for mid-April.
00:38We've got a lot of people asking us, asking you, how are you doing, how are you feeling at the moment?
00:43Yeah, I mean, as I've said already, everyone's been lovely and concerned for me.
00:52No, I'm feeling okay now. I'm obviously a bit tired after the chemo sessions normally over the weekend.
01:00But, as I say, hopefully looking forward to getting this out of my system and moving forward with the rest of my treatment.
01:11At what point will you know if it's been successful or not?
01:15I've got a CT scan before the radiotherapy sessions.
01:23Middle of March I've got a bone scan to check on my metastatic cancer in my hip.
01:35So, as I say, we're looking to get all the results in hopefully by the middle of April and I'll speak to my consultant then.
01:43And obviously you're still finding time to pop to Tratton Park on occasions?
01:46Yeah, getting down there when I can. It's been a little bit cold.
01:50But obviously the results have been fantastic, so that's lifted everyone, not only myself, but everyone in the city.
