Half-term can be a great excuse to explore the city as a family. However, finding activities when the weather isn't always in your favour is no mean feat. It can also be a balancing act between keeping the little ones entertained for days on end all whilst trying not to break the bank.

00:00Half term it can be a great excuse to explore the city together as a family.
00:05However, finding activities when the weather isn't always in your favor can
00:09not only prove tricky, it can also be pretty expensive. We've been on streets
00:13of the city to ask what you think the best activities are to keep the kids
00:17occupied. Well in Liverpool there's loads of places to go. All Otterspool is
00:22beautiful down there and I love the piers, that's great and we love the
00:25little trip going over to the other side on the boats and coming back. I think
00:29there's lots to do really. Museums, definitely the museum. I think there's quite a few
00:36attractions like the museum here, St John's Gardens or the other museum on
00:45the front. Maybe the Owl Tock as well because you've got the shops, they can
00:50look at the boat, you can stroll, you can have something to eat. There is plenty to
00:54do in Liverpool, lots. School holidays can be a costly business with days out, childcare
00:59and keeping the little and not so little ones fed can all amount to a pretty
01:04penny. There's no shortage of green spaces in Liverpool and when the sun is
01:09shining they can be a fantastic free day out but when the weather isn't on your
01:14side it certainly can all add up. It's too costly in Liverpool for school
01:21breaks. Everywhere you go you want some kind of money for you. I think there's quite a
01:25lot free as well which is like the museums and the art galleries and the
01:28kids are interested. We took our grandson the other week, he was delighted with it.
01:32You know all the dinosaurs and all the mummies, he was chuffed to death with all that.
01:36You can't name anywhere where you can go which is cheap other than the
01:40museums and the libraries which, let's face it, the kids don't want that now. I
01:46did it all with my boys, they've grown up now but I've got my 15 year old daughter
01:50so therefore she's at home chilling out. If anyone hasn't been here to research it
01:56and do it for the children.
