00:00Welcome to Mediane TV and Rabat for this cultural chronicle with the official inauguration of the Moroccan Cinematheque.
00:16And like international cinemathèques, this new structure offers a space dedicated to the conservation,
00:24documentation and restoration of the national cinematographic heritage, as well as the promotion of Moroccan and international cinematographic works.
00:34In a statement to the press, the Minister of Youth, Culture and Communication, Mohamed Mehdi Ben Saïd,
00:40emphasized that this establishment aims to strengthen the position of Morocco in the world cinematographic landscape,
00:47noting that young Moroccans aspire to know the history of national cinema,
00:51which makes the Cinémathèque an essential space to preserve this cultural heritage and bring it closer to new generations.
01:00It's very simple. For 30 years, we have made a number of films,
01:07our memory is concentrated in these films.
01:13Unfortunately, there has been some neglect in this regard,
01:18but there has been no interest in this cinematographic heritage.
01:22And when we think that even a country, even a nation, especially Morocco,
01:27which is still a country that has an important place in the concert of nations,
01:32no country can prevail over a capital importance without memory and without trace.
01:38And we stay in Rabat and this first meeting organized by the Royal Academy of Morocco in partnership with the Embassy of Spain in Morocco.
01:48An international event on music and singing in the Moroccan-Andalusian tradition.
01:54This meeting, which was held at the Royal Institute for Research on the History of Morocco,
02:00brought together experts from various backgrounds to explore the manufacturing techniques,
02:05complex rhythms and execution practices, while giving a contemporary dimension to this ancestral heritage.
02:13I invite you to listen to the elite Khalid Belheiba and Bouchaib Hantal.
02:20In terms of the manufacture of instruments, and more specifically the lute, it is very complex.
02:26Why complex? Because these two aspects are fundamental.
02:30The technical part and the spiritual part.
02:33And this aspect concerns the construction material and in particular the wood.
02:38The latter can be of a very high quality without producing beautiful sounds.
02:43And the opposite is true of the lute.
02:46I am very confident about the future of luthiery, because the Moroccan lute is becoming more and more well-known in the world.
03:06I have learned this profession since I was very young.
03:10I have learned this profession since I was very young.
03:13I acquired this know-how from great masters who are now deceased.
03:17I will quote Ahmed Tamine, who practiced at El Jadida, and well before him, Master Mekhi Louahri.
03:24I also learned from luthiers in Rabat, Fez, Algeria, Libya and Turkey.
03:29I participated in several exhibitions in Europe.
03:33And today I am very happy to have participated in this workshop.
03:40And today we are here.
03:42During this meeting, a group of forty instruments was presented at the center of this course.
03:49We were able to admire four exceptional pieces specially created by luthier masters for the Academy of the Kingdom of Morocco.
03:56The Aoud Al-Ramel and Sharqi of Khalid Belhaiba.
03:59The Rhot of Carlos Paniagua.
04:01And the Rubab of Christian Roltz.
04:04A space dedicated to luthier workshops allowed visitors to discover the materials, tools, gestures and manufacturing techniques.
04:14I invite you to listen to the luthiers Bouchaib Hommine and Bouchta Diwadi.
04:28It is thanks to the support of luthiers Khalid Belhaiba and Bouchaib Hontal
04:32that I decided to get involved in the manufacture of musical instruments.
04:36It all started when a friend of mine asked me to repair his lute.
04:41At the time, I was addressed to Bouchaib Hontal, who helped me do it and advised me to get into luthiery.
04:49And since my retirement, that's what I've been doing.
04:53It was a successful operation.
04:56When I was young, I decided to enter the workshop of a luthier master by chance.
05:07And I didn't leave until I could fly with my own wings.
05:12You have to say that with this job, you never stop learning.
05:16And when the opportunity arises to meet us, we exchange, we improve our knowledge.
05:23Thanks in particular to the advice of master Khalid Belhaiba.
05:33And music always, but this time to finish, the new clip of the Belgian-Moroccan singer Enes,
05:39of his real name Enes Ansori, entitled Lendemain.
05:43He chose to sing it with the young Rim Fikry.
05:47I obviously suggest you listen to this excerpt.
05:54I see in you what was missing in so many others.
05:56We advance hand in hand.
05:58We live this story like stars that shine until morning.
06:08We dance as if there was no tomorrow.
06:16We dance and dance as if there was no tomorrow.
06:24We dance as if there was no tomorrow.
06:32We dance and dance as if there was no tomorrow.

06:43The information continues on our different channels,
