After exceeding its target of 35.6 million international tourists by reaching 38 million in 2024, the Tourism, Arts and Culture Ministry is reevaluating its goals for the Visit Malaysia 2026 campaign.

Tourism, Arts and Culture Minister Datuk Seri Tiong King Sing said that as part of the campaign's strategy to boost the tourism sector's contribution to economic growth, the Ministry has planned robust initiatives to attract more visitors.

01:44MOTEC has set a target of 35.6 million international tourists
01:59for the Malaysian Tourism Campaign 2026.
02:03However, we have managed to achieve more than the initial target
02:10of 38 million international tourists in 2024.
02:18In connection with that, MOTEC is reviewing the target of international tourists
02:24for the Malaysian Tourism Campaign 2026.

02:34Actually, the Malaysian Tourism Campaign 2026
02:39MOTEC, through its agencies,
02:42will always cooperate with state-owned enterprises,
02:46private agencies, NGOs, or NPOs

03:07the Sarong Train, the Maha Exhibition,
03:11Midnight Mega Sale Malaysia,

03:27Prior to this, MOTEC has held Midnight Mega Sale in Johor.
03:33This year, we will expand this program to 3 or 5 mega sales
