00:00So the other thing going on this weekend was the four nations face off.
00:04And you said you didn't get to watch a whole lot of this, but USA Canada on Saturday night
00:08was electric.
00:09I think it's going to be great again on Thursday in Boston this time for the championship.
00:15But I think they found something here for hockey where I was listening to the junks
00:18driving in.
00:19They had a hockey insider on from ESPN and he was talking about how this is almost like
00:23a preview for the Olympics next year where they're going to take the Olympic break and
00:27you're going to have more countries involved in just these four.
00:31But I think this was a really, really good idea for hockey.
00:35And just to get the buy-in that these players had while we're all complaining about All-Star
00:39Weekend here and the Pro Bowl.
00:41This really caught a lot of people's attention.
00:43Well, I think it caught a lot of people's attention because you're playing for your
00:46nation.
00:47And I think when you once you throw that into it, you're going to get a level of competition.
00:52I think JP had mentioned it.
00:53Oh yeah, this is going to the competition.
00:56It's United States against Canada.
00:59Inherently you're going to play as hard as you play in Finland, play in Sweden.
01:04And then when you look at it, what if what Chris was just stating earlier, it ended up
01:08being the international players against the stars and international players lost.
01:14Okay.
01:15You think Steph and his crew wasn't thinking we can't let them beat us.
01:19Yeah.
01:20You know what I'm saying?
01:21And I think if you start, if you can in basketball, you can do it in football.
01:25There's nothing outside of the United States that can compete with them in football.
01:28Hands down.
01:29I mean, if you could go another 20, 30 years, 40 years from now, you may, but right now
01:33it'll be a waste of time.
01:36But you got to find a way to find out what makes people click.
01:40You know, and I think this right here, as soon as you knew it was like, let's say the
01:43four nations tournament, there are players from all over the place, you know, but still
01:47just having those four, the competition level is going to be high.
01:51It's breaking out.
01:52Soon as the game start that they have this fight for each other.
01:55They do.
01:56They do.
01:57When you get, when you get that pettiness into it, you go get some competition.
02:00And just as a casual hockey fan myself, or I basically just watch the Capitals.
02:05I don't really check out what else is going on.
02:07I don't know that I'm tuned in for USA Finland.
02:09I don't know that I care last night that much about USA Sweden, but as soon as you get USA
02:15versus Canada on the ice, sign me up.
02:18Where do I get to watch this thing?
02:20Because it's always going to be great because of that rivalry, because of that national
02:24pride.
02:25It's similar to whenever, you know, there's a USA Mexico soccer match or USA England.
02:29Once you put in USA against anything, some level of the patriotism pops it.
02:33Sure.
