00:00The Department of Social Welfare and Development assured that persons with disability or PWD ID will not be affected.
00:07In Mike Abelife's program, DSWD Assistant Secretary and Spokesperson Irene Dumlao said that with the help of the Unified PWD ID System,
00:18the process for issuing physical and digital ID will become a central authority.
00:24In recent years, the process of issuing physical and digital ID has been done manually and by the local government through the PWD Affairs Office.
00:35Meanwhile, Asick Dumlao was pleased to meet President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. for the dedication of the DSWD,
00:43particularly whenever there is a calamity where the immediate action will be taken to help the affected countrymen.
00:54So through this initiative, we will only issue one-sided person with disability ID.
01:01It's RFID-enabled card. It has a QR code. It's easy to verify through the system.
01:08So we can be sure that the person with disability ID will not be taken or copied and will not be used for temporary purposes.
01:19And we can be sure that the benefits and privileges for the person with disability will be given to them.
01:27This serves as an inspiration and a motivation for us to continue doing the best services to our countrymen in need.
